Blood will tell (Heirs of blood)

Not sure if I understand this quest properly...

apparently the OL winning condition is to accumulate 25 (or more) damage tokens by doing "blood offerings" or "forbidden incantation" by Eliza. However each time she suffers 1 HP out of 7 (9, 12) total. So basically OL gets to collect less than half damage tokens before Eliza is dead and heroes win the encounter. What am I missing?

The Flesh moulder master can heal her.

She can deal up to 5? (i think) damage to a minion adjacent to her and recover that much HP. And if there still is not enought HP around, you could always spawn a zombie or 2 to recover from.

The one time we have played it (me as player) the OL kicked our ass **** hard. 4 man group, with item wise almost perfect set up, yet we still lost.

That quest seems a bit tilted towards the OL. Also you can use the master flesh moulder to heal her.

Of course, that makes sense... :)

Although I thought of her Sacrifice ability being necessary in this quest, I was still confused by the obvious contradiction... thanks for clearing that up

Agreed. I played a OL and heros didn't stand a chance. If all Eliza did was do It was blood offering, the heros would have 13 turns to get the 3 wards and kill her. For the most part, each Forbidden Incantation works to reduce that 13 turns. On very unlucky rolls, she might reduce altar by only 1 AND also stun, resulting in her not being able to do Blood Offering for her 2nd action. That's only 1 out of 36 chance though. Each time she does Forbidden Incantation, there's a 40% chance she'll do it without stunning the figures in the room. In those turns she can either do Forbidden Incantation again or benefit from getting healed twice from Master Flesh Moulder, with each heal recovering a little more than 2 each time. I think in one turn I took down about 6 or 7 health off the altar. That alone reduced the number of turns by 3 or 4.

Basically my strategy was: If Eliza is possible to be killed by Incantation, she would do Blood Offering & be healed by Flesh Moulders. If she couldn't be killed (had more than 5 health) she did Incantation. With my zombies out there and first open group, I don't think they even got to the 2nd ward.

Seems really imbalanced in favor of OL. In order for heros to win, I think they'd need OL to pick terrible open groups, OL to get really bad rolls during incantation. I think the heros would need to do a mad solo rush to get 3rd ward while the other heros rush back to attack Eliza, hopefully catching her with low health.
