Recently played around with some painting on Squadrons. Tie's and A Wings look darker in photo's then in RL.

I really like the rebel ships. Black on the TIE/Bs is cool for special ones, but a typical TIE/B has a slight bluish tint.

Also is that drybrushing? Nice!

The photo's make the Tie's look darker then they are. Took photos on my phone, so its a bit average quality. They are more a light gray.

I like the Y Wings the best, quiet happy with those.

Yeah the Ys are impressive. Is that a silver/grey base coat with a darker/black wash?

- No undercoat.

- Detailed ink wash, taking time to get it in every bit it needs to be, but not too much.

- Light gray drybrush applied to wanted parts.

- Yellow details.

- Ink touch ups (if required).

- very light white drybrush on whole model.

Very dark TIE Bombers, sort of a stealth look to them. I like that you varied the facing of the individual fighters on the bases. I have always kept mine in a strict formation (all facing exactly the same way), but this does give them more of a swarm feel.
