Are there any players that live in southeast Connecticut. I live in Norwich by the casinos and all the shops that play at all are an hour plus away. I make it out to them for tournaments once and a while but it's to far for casual games. Just wondering if there's anyone in my area that would be interested in playing sometimes. It's tough not having anyone around to play practices games with
Any CT players here

I'm about to buy into this game and start playing more seriously. I live in Groton and would love to play a bit when my set comes in if you can stomach playing against a newbie. Love playing board games competitively. Outside of Newington, do we have any other local tournaments regularly?
I'm in Danbury, but that's unfortunately on the complete opposite side if the state.
Iv Tryed posting everywhere I can think of and can't find one person that plays within a half hour of me
That's a shame, although I would try to point out that Facebook groups are generally much better...
I mean, even living in a Major City in the North like Calgary, I know there's only 1-2 other Calgarians who frequent these forums - and the local Store Organiser is not one of them... So I do a lot of relays that way...
I mean, its hit up local store pages, if they have one. Letterdrop their message boards (physical), if they have one... Just those sorts of things.
Sometimes, they come in odd places, too... I mean, where I grew up, there were no games stores within an hour's drive in any direction... But we latched onto a Board Game club at the Local Library.
Hey kronen. There isn't anything local yet sarges in new London still plays xwing no armada yet but I was in the citadel game cellar in Groton the other day and he told me he's selling the place and the new owners are going to start doing tournements when they take over so we may be in luck. I actually work in mystic so I'm down near you all the time. And trust me I don't mind playing against anybody this is the first miniatures game I've ever played so I'm still pretty new my self. I also have two of almost every ship both faction so if you wanna get together and play sometime
As far as tournements now iv been going to battlegrounds in mass. It's an hour ride but it's prob the closets to us right now. I'm actually going up there Saturday the 29th for a tournement
Edited by CorronjediCool beans! Where are the tournaments in mass? Would live to hit that up for sure! The tournament in Newington happens every two weeks. As far as competitive minis, I've only played Blood Bowl somewhat seriously (God I love the orca cola league).
My plan for this game was to grind on vassal, but playing in person is always fun
. Craziness that the Citadel guy is selling!!! He's practically an institution to himself in the area. I'm going to miss going in at any hour of the day and hearing the hottest in hyper-conservative radio shows. You ever do the Sunday hangout there? Went a couple times but it didn't stick (I also work Sundays with sound consistency).
Well I go to the tournements in mass just because they have happened to fall on my days off so far. It's at battlegrounds games and hobbies in plainville it's just over an hour drive for me. I think there's one this Saturday to at the tabletop shop in newington but I have to work
I also just discovered the citedal so iv never gone to any of the play days there
I'm in Wilton, CT. If anybody is nearby me and interested in some casual games, let me know.
