I've been trying out new fleet builds and I've yet to really look at the Nebulon B Frigate. I though it might be interesting to come up with a 300 point build that put the ship at the core of my fleet. I also wanted to experiment with a squadron heavy build and figured that it might be interesting to try to combine both into one list. First things first I decided to take two Nebulon B's to form the 'core' of my fleet. I decided to go for the Escort Frigate over the Support Refit as it would allow me greater control over the squadrons I'd be taking. These two ships set me back almost 120 points straight off the bat.

I then decided to go for a CR90 A to provide support and to act as my flagship. In most of the games I've played so far my Nebulon's have exploded so I wanted to try to avoid giving up my admiral too easily. I decided to take Mon Mothma as all of my ships have at least one evade token so I was hoping to get some use out of her. So I now had my admiral and my three ships which brough me up to around 190 points. I decided to see how many squadrons I could fit in the list before I bought any upgrade cards.

I then moved on to look at my squadron allowance which I wanted to max out if I could. To start of with I got 4 squadrons of B-Wings which I thought I would pair up with my Nebulon. They would give me plenty of anti ship firepower and I'd try to keep them near to the Nebulon for mutual support. I then decided to take a squadron that could keep up with the Corvette so I went for a single A-Wing squadron. I still had quite a few points left available so I decided to round out my squadron allowance with a couple of X-Wings. Lastly I realised that I had some points to spare so I swaped the A-Wing squadron out for Tycho Celchu.

Finally I had a few points left over for upgrades. I bought the Jaina's Light upgrade for the the CR90 as it was only a couple of points and I like the ability to ignore obstacles. I took the Yavaris upgrade for one of the Nebulon to make it's squadron commands a bit more scary when the enemy is engaged. lastly I popped an Engineering team onto the other Nebulon B just to try to give it that exta bit of survivability. The list came up to 298 points so I have a 2 point bid for the initative.
