Question for the lucky Wave 7 owners

By Taiowaa, in X-Wing

So i am still planning what and how many of each ship to get and now i´d like to know from you who already got the luck to get your hands onto wave 7 stuff, if there is only 1 template of the new bombs in the k-wing and the punisher.

Because i thought it would make sense for the sake of extra munitions that there are at least 2 templates of conner net and cluster mines.

The rebel and imp ships come with two of about everything noteworthy, so it depends on weather you think you need 2 or 4 twin laser turrets, tie mark 2 etc. The hounds tooth comes with a lot of useful upgrades that were previously only on the other large ships, if you're missing a yt in particular a second one wouldn't be a bad buy. I'm pretty sure the epts in the khriax aren't unique, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up a few of those if you want extra crackshots or lighting reflexes, there's only one of each in there.

Or you could just buy 2 ships...

Yes, there's only one template for the Conner Net and one template for the Cluster Mines.

thanks thats all i wanted to know.... i mean well they might not stay long on the table but if they do i would be nice to have 2 templates

I also wish they came with two, especially since we now have Extra Munitions! My Punisher dropped both a cluster mine and a Net in my first Epic game, and was setting up to drop one more of each. My opponent and I were trying to figure out what to use as stand-ins. Which reminds me, I need to make a couple cardboard stand-ins for those two pieces of ordnance!

For what it is worth you can take the card board that the template comes out of and trace around the inside in order to make the correct size and shape of the template. Then cut it out of card or plastic or whatever you want. It actually isn't that difficult.

I suspect it won't be too long until third party acrylic manufacturers have templates ready either, but in the meantime tracing a new template is a simple solution to the issue.

The maneuver dials are the exact size of the cluster mines. Use a real one for the middle to remember why there's dials there and go be happy.
