I just got my battlelore set out after half-a-year of inactivity and what an awesome game! We played the first scenario twice, switching sides. For the second game, we added in a war-council of 4 for the French and 6 for the English. I won both games, but the second was unbelievably close. The final point was a war of attrition. It was so close that it came down to who had the right command card. All the units moved to battle in the middle and both players had just flank cards in their command deck. The game was fantastic! Now I am excited for the new expansions. When does the Heroes one come to Canada? I can hardly wait!

I came across a link on the web and saw a banner of BattleLore and after I Bing'd it I was super excited. Moments later I stumbled across ffg and registered. I am dying to get my hands on a copy of BattleLore. I am glad that you are back on the scene and had a great game. I look forward to having great games as well. Good Luck with Heroes from what I read it's even more EPIC. ^^

You seem to like and know the game : could you all describe the game, but not the rules ? (i can read the pdf for that and not bother anyone here). Like, the feeling, the idea, what it looks like, can you like buy the game and one or two expansion boxes, is there collectible stuff to add (which i hate, marketing process), how long does it last, is there a lot of text, can boardgames noobs like it (me friends...), and so on ? please, battelore fans ?
