Question: Luke + Predator

By IG88E, in X-Wing

Because I have seen it last time and I don´t think it is possible that way

If you roll let´s say 3 attack dice and you have 2 hits, then you reroll the third one with predator and get a focus, why you can turn that focus into a hit with Luke´s ability? It is like mixing the chronology of card actions. Allowed?

EDIT: Sorry, I mean the Luke CREW card

Which Luke? The pilot version never works with attack dice at all.

If you mean the crew version, it's because the two things working here are both dice-modification effects, and the player can decide in what order he or she wants to execute them. Rerolling first offers an advantage here, but the rules definitely support it.

Because Luke's ability works when defending, not when attacking.

It's like a spider sense he has.

Vorpal is right of course, as always. :).

Luke's ability only works on defense.

But you can modify dice in any order within a modification phase.

Attacker Rolls.

Defender modifies.

Attacker modifies.

Defender Rolls.

Attacker modifies defense dice.

Defender modifies defense dice.

Cancel dice.

Sorry, I mean the Luke crew card

Crew Luke works on attack dice, like a better version of Gunner.

As Vorpal said, you get to choose which of your dice modifications to apply first, reroll or focus.

Ok thank you Vorpal
