Don't post leaked info / images here!

I would argue that FFG has signed a confidentiality document stating that they cannot release any of the Ep VII IP until Sept 4. Additionally, I would argue that this document is signed by all manufacturers releasing anything under the EpVII license. Exceptions to this are Lego who have been able to officially release EpVII 2015 Lego kits prior to this date. I'm sure this was part of the contractual agreements between Disney and Lego though. Lego is a much larger organisation that FFG and brings license owners a lot more bank than FFG could dream of.

I expect that FFG is contractually obligated to A) maintain complete silence over the specifics of the Ep VII content until Sept 4 and B) If that silence is broken, do everything in their power to regain it.

What I find a little frustrating is that had FFG had posted a stickied thread explaining that the spread of these images could have legal ramifications on FFG, the issue would have died sooner .. and avoided the umpteen thousand similar threads being created with both leaks and requests not to post the images.

The dingbats are also permabanning anyone who posts them. They love their customers that much!

And what is your evidence for that?

Because the guy who actually took the pictures and first posted them on here said, directly to me, that his posts were being moderated now, nothing about any kind of ban.

Oh, and he was last online here just a couple hours ago.

Perma moderated is just as bad as a ban, you think their posts are going to see the light of day from here on out? Might as well just make a new account.

Your thoughts are the issue are simply speculation.

We don't know until it is clarified by FFG, not all the Arm Chair Lawyers on here.

That's just utterly foolish. Nothing is permanent. Moderators have to approve their posts until sept 4 so that no one tries to keep posting the images over and over. Once the blackout period is over all that moderation will be cancelled.

We know from various new members that moderated posts can take several days to a week to get approved and actually show up on the boards, so it wouldn't surprise me at all for the guy who took the pictures to make a comment about it, oh, early next week.

I think we should just bump the old threads instead of making new ones. Though I am bumping this thread at the moment.

The only issue with that as we experienced last night was you get some people who think it's funny to add the link and photos to the post telling people to stop posting them and then that gets yanked too.

It makes the most sense for someone to have a brief statememt/post that doesn't go into great detail and have that thread both locked and stickied so it remains at the top and the people who can't grasp the problem are unable to mess with it.

He had something like 6 posts. A new account wouldn't exactly have been a hardship, if he needed one, which he doesn't.
