will the reprint of the game be free of misprints?

By dorelas, in Chaos in the Old World

Does anybody have any reliable info?

I wonder why the subject has not pop up yet. I would like to know whether it is worth to wait for the second wave, or whether FFG is going to keep printing the same crap in an unchanged form again and again.

Thanks, i would appreciate any info , as i already ordered a copy at my local retail store.

great Forum , no "edit" button ><

EDIT: found it ^^

Same crap? There is one misprint of one word on one card. You just need to remember that it is "two" instead of "one." If that is too complicated, perhaps this isn't the game for you.

Please, i love the game, i would like to know whether in the new reprint somebody will open the text editor , press Delete and enter the proper number this time.

And NO, i dont think its acceptable to misprint something on the most important part of the game. The "dial" is the basic , first and foremost recognizable feature of the game mechanics here.

Errare humanum est.

Ah, I see the misunderstanding. This is the wrong hp, you need to be redirected:

Glad I could help!

The Dials are 100% correct. So I am not sure what you are referring to.

The reference card has the tiny misprint. Is it acceptable, not really? Is it playable, yes. And most likely you will not really read the reference card after the first turn of the first game anyway. So really, it isn't the most recognizable feature and has nothing to do with the mechanics.

I don't know if FFG is going to reprint the game with the corrected text. It is not as simple as opening up a file and correcting the misprint. The ship this out to a 3rd party to produce who may or may not charge them for making a change. They may simply order another printing of what is already there. Given the minor nature of this misprint and given that I haven't seen them typically change this in other games, I would say they are not going to make the change.

You are within your right to not want the game for this "shortcoming." But you are only hurting yourself by refusing to buy it. The game isn't "crap" and I am not sure how you can state that if you also claim to love it.

At least it would be nice if they upload a corrected reference card for printing.

That I can't argue with. An official PDF with the correct erminology that I could print out on glossy paper and paste to my current card would be great. Though at this point, I am not sure it would be worth the trouble.

For real.

As I've said before just print out the number 2 in the proper text size and just paste it over the 1. Then go and get all your reference cards laminated . . .

Thank you , most of you are bering extremely helpful. i will just use your advice in a creative way , download a scan of a game from the p2p and glue it all together. preocupado.gif

Cheers

Well, first I scanned the card and corrected the misprint in Photoshop, but when printed, the quality was not nearly same as with original, because no laser printer can match the quality of offset printing...So the corrected card did look like crap with other cards. So I just printed the word "two" and attached it to the card, and after I laminated the cards it works great. Of course it pops out a little, but I can live with it :)

And I agree that it's really a non-issue, and does not take anything away from this great game. And it could just be, that FFG won't bother with making new plates for reprints, but you never know.

Thanks you for this. This is the kind of answer I want to give to about a hundred similar threads here and on BGG.
