Has anyone had any luck bending the wings on the Raider back into position?

Calamari
I don't think this helps you at all, but I licked my Raider when I opened it.
In fact, I'm sure that doesn't help you at all.
What did it taste like?
and don't say chicken!
you could paint them ALL in any color so it wouldn't have to match... Did that recently with my bathroom.. only needed to paint a section that was water damaged but did two walls corner to corner so the new paint would match and if it didn't who cares as it made a neat effect. how ever the paint did match quite nicely..
Nice try
The panel on the bottom of my raider is pretty badly warped on one side. Not noticeable on the table because it is on the bottom but somewhat disappointing after spending a not inconsiderable chunk of change at my FLGS for the ship.
All of my panels have a similar problem. The forward points on all three are bent towards the hull. The tip of the right panel was actually wedged under the gun port.
I'm planning on taking a hair dryer to it soon and trying to straighten them out, but I can't say I'm not irritated
Job for tonight. I'll let you know how it goes...

Yep.
My port panel had one of the struts curved in toward the hull and looked distinctly "off"
After removing the panel, I heated the strut in question with a heat gun using quick passes. You have to get it pretty warm for this plastic to start bending, but heating and bending it a few times eventually straightened it out nicely.
I didn't take any "before" pictures, but the panel closest to the camera, the top point was curved down so badly it nearly touched the hull.

Heh, almost directly after posting I boiled some water and dipped the offending wings into it. It worked quite well and the side wings are now straight again. Yay!
Edited by GearlokYeah, boiling water did it for me too. Dipped the wing in a cup of boiling water, straightened it out, and into iced water to 're-set' it. Meant to report back earlier, but a mate popped in and we ended up squeezing in a game. ![]()

I am not overly surprised, or even miffed.
My Raider defected too. The Rebels had a better retirement plan.
