Call me old fashioned, but even in this age of computers I still do my characters the old way. I even do Shadowrun characters by hand.

I nust wish there were a "subscribe to thread" option.
Up on the top right of the thread there should be a button labeled "Follow this topic." Unless you're already following it anonymously.
You can opt to receive notifications "immediately," but in my experience they are a bit sporadic and late in coming. Even so, it's basically the same as "subscribing" to a thread.
There are also some browser extensions you could add, depending on what browser you use, to subscribe to any page. That might work too.
