I'm not sure you should use a LEGENDARY Status as we don't know if FFG has plan for it (example: the Minotaur) and you risk colliding with some of their choices.
I will be using Legendary even if FFG does not. There are some characters that are just bigger and badder than your normal guys. Hellboy. Doc Savage. Those guys are Legendary and I think that I will stick with it. If FFG does come up with Legendary benefits then I will go by those rules, otherwise, I'll use my own.
