So Horton+Corvette has been a thing, but Esege+Corvette?

Another 2 cards that might work:

Mercenary_Copilot.pngDash-rendar-crew.png

Dash's second clause is kinda nice due to the amount of asteroids that can be on the field, blocking your range 5 shots.

Merc Copilot only really works on your main gun or single turbolasers, and just at the narrow range 3 band. The raider's 2-4 range primary gun that can attack twice might like him better. And it only really increases the damage they suffer if it does hit, through the shield. Maybe not worth it.

In other news of cards that aren't used/commonly thought to be put on the Huge ships:

Rd-d2.png

R2R2(crew): Does he work on a crippled fore if kept alive by the Tantitive title card? Probably not. But still, combined with shield generator, you can recover 2 shields per turn, at the slight risk of a critical, when taking a beating.

(Chewie is another option, although he might work better on ships with evade dice to make hull more valuable.)

Jan Ors, stick her on a GR75 buff ship.

Saboteur.png +Ionization-reactor.pngand/orSlicer-tools.png

Saboteur, along with splicer tools gives the GR75 an "attack". It might also work on the rear of a corvette, if your corvette doesn't need to take recover or reinforce actions. Jam a tie phantom or tie interceptor, then slicer tool a third or quarter of their health off. Not very efficient and very time consuming, but works if you are a pacifist.

Focus, Evade, and Stress Tokens:

Focus, evade, and stress tokens do not affect huge ships.

Just to be obstinate ... wouldn't the rule as written prohibit attackers spending focus tokens against a Huge, and prohibit defenders spending evade tokens when attacked by a Huge?

I think between this rule and the Esege wording, there's a bit of room for debate.

I'm not advocating Esege working with a CR90, but it seems FAQ-worthy.

Why cant I post pictures from the X-wing wiki on this community!?!? Ah, I see, thank you.

Anyways, looking at Dash Rendar Crew card, and the Flight instructor card someone posted got the gears turning in my head...

"EM Emitter". Cargo slot, 3 points. When you obscure an attack, the defender rolls 3 dice instead of one.

Stick a rebel transport in between your CR90 and the enemy forces. While your at it, throw Jan Dodonna on the transport as well, I think he triggers for each of the CR90's attacks.

Jan-dodonna.png

Then slap Flight Instructors on the CR90, which now has 3 defense dice, and then Dash, so that your attacks through the transport (cause it blocks all your fire arcs too) dont award the enemy 3 additional defense dice. Take the Tantive IV so you can stick an extra crew on the CR90 as well, probably weapons engineer or something.

Bam, makes the previously unused 3 point upgrade and 4 point upgrade worthwhile and a kinda neat gimmick. They either have to kill the transport, which will be in uber tank mode, or continue to target the corvette, which is putting all energy and actions into pure and raw offense!

(note: due to the transport sitting on your flank, you most likely will not have a range 1 band. Quad guns are not advised, and I would take 3 Single turbolasers, or maybe swap the rear gun out with the ion cannon. The transport has great AoE close range card effects that it can trigger if the enemy gets too close. Besides, Ionization reactor starts FULLY CHARGED! :D

You can, you just need to trim the URL down to the actual image file. Their URLs have some version information in them.

What you are trying to post probably look like this:

No they wouldn't because the focus (or evade) tokens do not affect the Huge ship in any case. You use them to modify your own dice results.

Dash will indeed prevent the Empire from cowering behind asteroids or their own Raider.

I'm not sure the reactor starts fully charged, I thought it was for reserves and weapons?

Ah, your right, I read "cards", not "weapons". D'oh! Good catch.

What do you think about giving the Corvette 3 defense dice? Too silly?

Esege is kinda a POS imo. Too many conflicting interests and too high a price tag on a ship that needs to be upgraded to be worth a ****.

You're basically going to need bombs (not mines, they take actions), A-slam (for focus), and almost certainly a recon to even begin to get your investment back (and he can't do any of that while babysitting a Corv)

Now Roark's been around for a while :P

You can never get too silly.

Don't forget to take the Bright Hope as your transport.

And once it's almost gone? Ramming speed!

If you assign Rieekan to the CR-90, you can take a humble K-Wing, such as:

Warden Squadron Pilot (23)
Extra Munitions (2)
Bombardier (1)
Cluster Mines (4)
Advanced SLAM (2)
Creep up slowly, then turn everyone into PS12, SLAM right ahead, and dump a mine in their path.

Ahem.

I just came across this on Reddit (credit to original poster WDWolf):

I asked FFG if the Tantive can focus using Esege Tuketu's focus. The answer is - yes, yes it can;

"In response to your rules question: Rules Question: Does Esege Tuketu's ability work with the Tantive IV?
Esege Tuketu: "when another friendly ship at range 1-2 is attacking, it may treat your focus token as its own."
Can the Tantive use this focus?
Thanks!

Yes, the CR90 is able to spend Esege’s focus tokens.

I feel all weird inside... like after 16 pages of fighting about SLAM bombing, I've switched allegiances.
