You can crush our spaceships, but you can't crush our spirit!

And to him I will listen!

I'm glad to know your Raider arrived, but I think the word you're looking for is "that".
"Dat" is not a word at all, at least not in standard English; "DAT" is an acronym for a number of things, according to Wikipedia, but in context it doesn't seem like you're trying to use an acronym--you're just misspelling a really common pronoun. Hopefully this note will help!
Dat is Ebonics for that.

You do know that the fix is in for the tie advanced not interceptors or bombers? lol.
Seriously, I think the Raider might just be the most beautiful thing I've purchased.

He has a point actually- Vorpal, I mean. There's a particular etiquette to using, "Dat"- that can be somewhat difficult to understand. You do, by common use, overuse "DAT" for sure.
For instance. When one says something you agree with, and you simply quote it with "DAT" it should be "THAT" or "THIS".
However, Dat comes from the, "Dat ass" meme. So, "Dat Raider" would be proper, or, "Dem autothrusters" or something, would also be proper.
It's complicated, but I think it's worth trying to keep in mind.

"Dat" is a lot older than any meme. Though I don't know the origin, I do know that it has been used in New Orleans as a slogan for the Saints (NFL) .."Who Dat? Who Dat? Who Dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?" for the last 30 years.

Older still as it wuz in classic cool-ass million year old cartoons.
"Who-Dat?!" and so forth is from the dawn of film.

I love how I'm starting to recognize your threads simply by the titles.

"Ain't" gets a pass. Like using "they" as a gender-neutral singular pronoun, it's a construction that fulfills a legitimate need in language even if grammar pedants (that is, grammar pedants who aren't me) don't like it. After all, what other word serves the same purpose? Who's seriously advocating the adoption of "amn't"?
"Prolly" doesn't work, though (nor does "probly"). Conventions of spelling and grammar exist to make written communication easier for readers; ignoring them with a good reason (like "they" and "ain't") is how we end up with new conventions, but ignoring them for no reason at all is discourteous to your audience.

I did say "dat" isn't a word in standard English, and I probably should also have specified written standard English. It appears in a number of spoken dialects, but no one here is speaking.
Although I guess I should say that I'm not reading the forum aloud to myself and then transcribing verbal responses, without making unwarranted assumptions about others. ![]()
How bout dat RAIDER?!
I'm a fan. I think the visual design accomplishes exactly what it set out to do, I like the way FFG is bending the epic format toward a more functional ecosystem for the Huge ships. And I can't wait until I finally get to stage a real Empire-on-Rebels skirmish with the big ships duking it out and starfighters looking for killshots while trying not to get run over or shot down by the opposing fighter screen. It's going to be... well, epic.
