My opponent put a Vic off the board for hyperspace assault.

The Vic off the board has no HP until it enters play.
I should have worded that better, when it enters the board does it have 8 or 10?
The faq says that they cannot be affected by abilities.
I'm guessing a ship in the fleet has Motti? The question is, which one?
If it's the Vic, then all the ships ON the board have their default hull values and are only increased once Motti comes in. If Motti is on a ship that is already ON the board, then the Vic is on 8 hull and gets +2 (10 hull) when it comes in.
I'm wondering what prompted this question though. Care to share?
It's just the faq states that any ship held off the board for hyperspace assault cannot be affected by any abilities and Motti's ability is increasing the hull points of friendly ships.
It's just the faq that confused me.
The moment it comes onto the table and Motti is there it has 10 HP.
Motti is a static effect. Now if motti was the in in Hyperspace then all ships fain the bonus HP the moment he enters the play area.
Yeah I get ya was just wanting clarification is all
Doesn't hurt to ask
Yeah, if Motti was in hyperspace and you shoot down a Gladiator's 5 hull points, that GSD dead. D-E-D. Dead!
I guess the reason this never came into mind was because I'd always assumed that Motti would be brought into play before any opponent could chew through a ship. But then again, if he's playing with 2 tricked-out GSDs vs. a concentrated CR90 swarm, that could well happen.
I am assuming this question just arose out of reading the FAQ and not from a game session? If from the FAQ, fair enough.... if from a game session, I'd be very interested to know what happened.
Nah faq.
