3 way 1000 point epic game

Was S&V only fielding IG88s?
That seems risky, for sure.

How'd the game go? Was there any teaming-up-to-bring-one-guy-down? Any issues with the setup, since it was a big rectangle? Who won?

Yes I only fielded 4 IG88s but fielding 4 allowed me to share all of their abilities. The Rebel Players and the Imperial Players were focused on attacking each other and I was attacking both of them. I only had 200 points compared to the 400 pts that the imperials and rebels had (there were 2 players on each side each with 200 pts per player). I had fewer points but coming in off the side was a huge advantage. Unfortunately we did not get to finish the game, but when we wrapped it up the Imperial players had lost Bobba Fett and the Imperial Raider had taken quite a beating. The Rebels had lost an A wing and a bwing and the tantive was probably going to lose its aft section next turn. I only lost 2 shield on IG88C so since I had not lost a ship while both of the other sides has I was declared the winner. It was a lot of fun.

It looks to me like the Rebels are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

So were the Imperials, what the picture does not show is the 2 Aggressors I had on the Imperial side of the board

3 team fights and free for alls in general are abysmal. Whoever wins has absolutely nothing to do with flying ability and the games are determined almost exclusively by politics.

At the very least you should arrange the mats such that they form a triangular shape so that no one gets put in the center.

There were no politics involved in this game, I was attacking both players. IG88 was trying to kill all humans.

A reasonable goal.

How long did you play before you stopped? I've been considering trying to put together a Mega-Epic match now that the Raider is out, but I'm assuming the ~60 min per 100 points /side continues to hold...

Ouch. That may change things a little as having your weaker forces split in two doesn't sound good to begin with.

We played about 2 hours

I was actually behind both forces only 2 ships ever took shots at me

I find that 3-player games are OK in capture-the-flag matches or scenarios where there's another way to win other than shooting down your opponents' ships (though that can still be a viable tactic). The scenario that comes with the Aggressor comes to mind; if two players really want to team up against the third they can, but the scenario's fun as-is.

What? You didn't combine the 4 IG-88s to V-07-IG-88-TR-0N? :P

Ah yes the good 'ole Epic Scum "IG-352" list...

Nah play the IG-8000 list instead. :P

Or just make V-07-IG-88-TR-0N ;)
