so if i wanted to the "These r not the droids youre looking for" control upgrade would i have to spend for the basic power too? So it would be 2 force points to do it? Lets say they are engaged with me abd its just one person im targeting. Would i just spend the 1 force point to do that control upgrade? please help! Thanks!

No, only for the action described in the Control upgrade.

On a completely unrelated note: Could you please stop using all-caps in your thread titles? It's like someone's yelling at the top of their lungs in the main forum section. Writing in normal letters still gets your threads noticed and replied to.

Yes, it seems you only spend 1, combined with a discipline vs discipline check. However, there are more than one control upgrade for this and other powers, just so you are aware

I think there's a buffer period for the first few topics new members create before they get posted. It causes the topics to get buried in the forums and so they're easy to miss. I suspect that's why your first couple of posts were ignored. It's rare that a topic goes without a response around here. Even if the responses are unhelpful.

The problem with that line of thinking is that all caps grabs attention in the wrong way. Visually, it's harder to read then Title Case or even all lower case. This means it's a literal eyes-sore to those who are looking at it.

Seen as yelling or not, it's not visually appealing and is a good way to get people to ignore your posts, since the all caps is more likely to be ignored than read.
