Miniature Market changes shipping and screws over big order customers?

Cheap and slow or fast and expensive, those are your options.

Well, or you buy it on Amazon and get cheap and fast.

Amazon's price is $7.70 more, you could just pay for faster shipping from MM then.

Hah!

I admit I didn't actually check their price. I just assumed that since I got the Tantive and Transport for under $100 with same day shipping it'd be similar. My mistake.

Amazon can deliver it as fast as you want.

By drone and soon amazon intergalactic will have it there before you order it thanks to quantum entanglement.

moaners?

Gotta stand behind this. As an Amazon Prime member I just ordered my Raider today (Monday 11am) and it is guaranteed free delivery in two days (Wednesday). I let the price fluctuate over the weekend, and I'm literally paying $2 more on the list price than Miniature Market for free delivery that's guaranteed in two days. The vendors keep undercutting each other, I think.

Yeah, but you have to select the "sacrifice one Amazon warehouse worker at the temple of Mercury" option.

Hell with prime i've had stuff delivered on a sunday and thats unheard of in the UK.

moaners?

Not entirely unlike Walkers.

It's funny because they contract out to U.S. Postal Service to deliver on Sunday, but if you try to order anytime on the weekend you have to wait for Amazon to process the order at the start of the next week. Ordering on Monday is the same as ordering on Saturday, they just make the mailman work on Sunday.

I think the problem is that several companies (not just MM) have been using / started using SmartPost, especially for light packages. If you are used to buying items weighing more than 10 lbs regularly, you get used to receiving your packages much more quickly and reliably thru UPS Ground or a similar service. Customers get used to that level of service. SmartPost is extremely frustrating because it is very inconsistent - AND different than what you might have come to expect.

Personally, I am making purchasing decisions now based on the weight of the package. If I suspect is will be light enough to get shipped SmartPost, I will order off Amazon. If I think it's going to be heavy enough to go ground, I'll look at other sources.

This is the real issue. Fedex Smartpost is literal snail mail. I order from CSI and make sure either my order qualifies for automatic Fedex Ground or I pay the extra few bucks for it. I wont let anyone ship Smartpost again.

walking moaners??

Good to know! Ill have to keep this in mind for future orders!

I was just notified by Amazon that my Raider will arrive next day, and for whatever reason with the vendor there was no tax added to the price. This whole order seems too good to be true. Watch, it arrives in a million pieces.
