Does Munitions Failsafe work on multiple secondary weapons?

By dewbie420, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Let's say I have a TIE Bomber with TWO Proton Rocket upgrades...does Munition Failsafe work on both? So I can shoot my rockets until they BOTH hit.

Is there anything that says Munitions Failsafe only works one time or with one piece of ordnance?

You can use the modification to keep firing the same piece of ordnance over and over and over and over again if it never manages to hit so having it do that for multiple pieces of ordnance isn't any kind of step.

Yes. Munitions Failsafe's ability works for all discardable secondary weapons you have equipped, every time you miss with them.

Munitions Failsafe works for every (discardable) secondary weapon you have equipped.

It also means you don't have to discard the ordnance if you never hit with it.

As a note, Flechette Torpedoes stress their target regardless of whether the attack hits, making Nera Dantels + Flechette Torpedoes + Munitions Failsafe an effective Fel/Whisper counter.

Thanks for the clarification and quick response! This is a beautiful upgrade. I need more.

I wouldn't go so far as saying it is a 'beautiful upgrade' as it still costs a point and takes up your modification. The problem with it is simply that you should NEVER want to use it; this is even true for that Flechette Torpedo unless you've got something to make up for the damage lost as missing with every attack is unlikely to win you many games.

On the other hand, it is brilliant with Assault Missiles and the new Advanced Homing Missiles: You WILL get their effect off, or die trying. There is no permanent failure to launch.

Oh don't get me wrong, it still can take the sting out of some of missing with those pricy missiles but I still wouldn't call it a beautiful upgrade.
