Will the Tianjin explosion have an impact on production?

By Dagonet, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Does anyone know if Fantasy Flight uses that port? A lot of stuff was destroyed so here's hoping it wasn't anything important like our favourite plastic pew-pews!

Wave sevens already on the water and eight is still being printed.

And all the resupplies?

The Raider for instance may be in stores in the US, stores here hope to have them at the end of this, or even next month.

I'd be more concerned about loss of life than any loss of products. First world problems.

Ah, the sarcasm wasn't obvious enough. *noted

150,000 people die per day why are those 50 any more special than the rest?

It may be sad for their friends and family but I don't know them and their passing has zero impact on my life.

Wow way to be a jerk. Enjoy my ignore list.

I highly doubt this port is used by FFG.

From my own understanding with overseas vendors through my job, most plastic goods come out the more south-eastern ports like Shanghai, Shenzen, and Guangdong.

The Tianjin port that the explosion happened at is used mainly for steel, metals, and chemicals.

How is being honest being a jerk?

Had I made a bad joke in poor taste I could understand.

Some people feel one death (not of natural causes) is one death too many. Imagine someone you really care about was there and died, then you read a comment like your previous one. Unless you don't care about anyone but yourself, in which case enjoy your empty, lonely, shallow, meaningless existence.

That at least would explain why you have no comprehension of what a total ****** you've just been.

So you mourn the deaths of thousands each day? How do you get anything done.

And of course then you have to mourn all the people who died in the past.

And oh my all those billions in the future...

I call BS on your moral outrage you like everyone else is oblivious to those deaths but because it's on the news you feel bad.

You humongous hypocrite.

Things live then they die it happens to virtually every life form there's nothing special about it.

No human could possibly even comprehend that scale of loss.

So yes I only feel for people I know same as everyone else whether they want to admit or not.

Jeez! the whole place blew up like something out of a disaster/godzilla movie, and all you can think about is wether FFG uses that port to ship stuff?

Okay I'll admit the same tought crossed my mind regarding wizkidz dice masters expansions, but i had the decency to feel bad about myself afterwards.

Well for 5 minutes after atleast.

Now now people, relax, calm down, no reason for this to blow up like a chinese port.

Explosion?

Explosion?

Yeah, fire, firefighters pour in water, water touches chemicals that don't respond well and blow up bigger than these boards at a new wave announcement.

Actually I don't watch news anymore because I do care about other people.

Worst sound I ever hear is the sound of others upset.

Yes a Brit who ended up in tears watching the events of 11th September (9/11 to the Americans) even though I've never been to America and have no American friends.

So yes, if I didn't stop watching news I'd be one very depressed guy as there's too much suffering in the world.

It also proves that life is too short not to press ignore.

No humour is how alot of us deal with tragedy.

104 Dead

700 injured

Thousands homeless, who've probably lost everything they owned

Highly toxic chemicals poisoning the air for miles around.

And you're worried about your toys...

We didn't blow it up, we didn't store dangerous chemicals near combustible elements we didn't kill anyone directly or indirectly.

Stop trying to guilt people.

Won't somebody please think of the toys?

Nor did we decide to use water to fight the fire when those chemicals were known to be there and highly reactive with water.

And besides that, it's an accident with a little over a hundred people dead. In a country where air pollution kills 30 times that daily.

The lack of basic humanity in this thread disgusts me. You are what is wrong with this planet.
