So I just picked up the new Imperial Raider, and I'm noticing that this raider is just as long as the Tantive, but is much wider at the back. I've been using a dual row card box (looks like a shoe-box from the outside) for my Tantive and Transport, but with the Raider's flat and wide dimensions, I'm wondering how everyone is storing them.
How's everyone storing their Imp Raider?
iam going to buy a fully customizable foam tray from Feldherr. 37 by 27 by 9 cm to fit on both the tantive and the raider.
they offer a predefined tray for the tantive but i'd like just one tray for everything related to epic.
all i hope is rhat the raider ist by no means longer than the cr90
www.feldherr.com if you like to check it out
As soon as it arrives, under my pillow.
Added a 4th level in my stack up plastic box and placed it next to the CR-90 although I have to place them diagonally.
Waiting for the Battle foam template!!
I'll go with kr multicase again and store all my epic ships in one case.
In my glass display case with all my other ships. Need to be able to see my beautiful collection! Don't hide it in a dark Box! Unless your heading straight to a game of course...
At the store, until i can buy it.

unless I buy a second one (yours) lol which is tempting just for the cards!! but am going to wait (hopefully) for a MM deal of the day!! I got my second Tantive dirt cheap that way...

They haven't put up a tray with it yet, but the template can be selected in the custom tray creator. Not sure how deep the tray needs to be though.
Gonna construct a 100% inclusive foamcore box, methinks. Space for tokens, mission stuff, etc.
Displayed on top of book shelf, along with my Transport.
Plano has a pluck foam case as a cheaper alternative to purchasing custom foam solutions. I use one for my CR90 + 2 Transports. I bought another for the Raider.

they didn't have that yesterday however they re still missing the punisher.. the depth I can figure out by measuring the one I got..
Will be storing it on my shelf next to the transport and Tantive.
Battlefoam usually takes a few weeks to get templates in place, so nice to see them on top of things. Also, new templates for pilot and damage cards. Very cool. Just created a custom foam for my raider and the decimator that's been sitting on my shelf for a while. Oh, to answer question above, I think 3 inch thickness ought to do it.
I anticipate constructing a hat that allows me to wear the Raider everywhere I go. Like a cheese head, but more imperial.
If I am unsuccessful in this I will settle for just having it on my shelf at work next to my Tantive.

I'm sure they'll make a combo one for both the Raider and the Gozanti, which is, go course, just fine.
Right, but unless FFG gives them a sample to work from you can't get a foam tray now that fits a raider and has a cutout for the gozanti too. I wonder if battlefoam would be willing to start a refit program where they update existing custom trays. Get a raider tray now, send it back for a gozanti refit later.

came here to say I'd put it on my shoulder like a parrot. Your idea sounds more practical.
I think someone should go Flavor Flav and hang it on a chain around their neck.
I don't have mine yet (have to wait til Monday!) but i can't imagine there's a better storage option than the packaging it comes in.
Someone makes those black and yellow cases for tools. Is it Black and Decker? I saw someone fit their Tantive in one case and had room for some Transports. It looked big enough to fit in the Tantive and Raider in their original plastic. I'd love to go for that option. I priced it out before at around $12.
That Plano gun case looks good, but I don't want to play shipping and not sure where to find it locally.
I don't see reason to pay the incredibly huge expense to buy into Battlefoam or any of the other foam systems. If these were hand painted armies, like for Warhammer, it's one thing. When Plano cases give you the same protection, it's stupid to pay Battlefoam prices.
Well, some of us are GW refugees and already had cases and foam. Vendor lock in is a beautiful thing. ![]()
