See we have had a good look at the big brother any guess about the little raider ?
Does the X-wing Raider tell us about the Armada Raider
Well, based on the inclusion of the Ion Cannons upgrade card for the X-Wing model, they should have an Ion Cannon upgrade slot and, in turn, at least one variant with blue dice.
This is excellent news, as my most anticipated Raider build involves Overload Pulse for a Demolisher "One-Two Punch"

I do wonder if we are going to have two atks out of the same side based on the abilty of the raider to have two shots imagine that with upgrades we get 10-12 shots from one arc.
Edited by CubanboyI think we now can also guess what Titles we will get for the Raiders, just not exactly what they do. Still, that is more card names at least. ![]()

But seriously I can't believe how good the X-Wing Raider looks. FFG should sack their photographer and get a member of the forum to take their pictures.
One thing I've noticed, just from other posts and pictures of cards etc, that it is comparable to the CR-90 as far as firepower are concerned.
No, not really, except it will be a pointy triangle and look like a raider.
2 different rules systems, so hard to learn much about how it will function from the big boy.
Now, we do know a little about the armada raider. we know it is going to be fast, and I suspect it will have strong anti-squadron dice in at least one variant.

One varient will have blue dice, perhaps both.

The base shown is the Imperial Raider I
2 blue/2 black front battery
1 blue/1 black side batteries
1 blue rear battery
2 black AS
Then we have the card for the Imperial Raider II
1 blue/1 black AS
but other than that we dont know what the arcs will have for the Raider II.
Also with it having a AS battery on the Raider I class being 2 black dice, and this thing supposedly being good for anti fighter support, I wouldnt be supprised if there was a Title that gave the black dice a little more punch when attacking squadrons (such as crits add an extra damage against squadrons). But this is purely speculation on my part.
Edited by kami689I also would not trust the original released pictures. Part of the delay may be some reworking of cards or stats so I fully expect to see some differences when Wave 2 actually hits.
Thanks,
Duncan
True, but it is the best info we have at this point in time, hopefully we can get some better/updated info soon ![]()
All that I know is that I want it, lots of it. I need something to deal with the stupid rebel fighters that tear me up.
Totally just thought of this.
Maybe we can get two x-wing Raiders and place them next to each other then place a lot of smaller raiders around it. I totally am going to teach my son about the birds and the bees using raiders.
Thanks FFG making parenting easy.
The X-Wing tells me I should buy it for the big sexy model.

So rapid reload is (probably) a missile upgrade which means the raiders have that slot... 7 Acm Raiders with screed anyone?
I just got my big raider today. Ion cannons and quad lasers are a feature weapon upgrade. Admiral Ozzel and Captain Needa are contained within also. Possible new offcier/Admrial cards for Armada?

Well, so far each ship has come with a unique officer and admiral, plus the incoming small rebel ship (MC-30) has already teased a commander (Reikan) and half of an officer (Lando?). So yes, I think that's likely. :-)
Yes. And Vader and Piett with the ISD.

At first I thought trying to get Overload pulse to be effective on a ship with (Most likely) 2 black dice and 1 blue die would be very difficult....Then I remembered Screed.

Pretty sure it's all 3D renders from the design department so that it looks "perfect" not product photos (you can tell by the lines between individual panels actually having paint in them
).
With all the talk about not using squadrons it's going to be interesting to see how an anti-squadron small ship will fit into imperial lists. Could be a good harasser with Overload pulse at least.
