While prying the Tie Advanced from the plastic packaging, I snapped the wing (?) cleanly off. Fixed with super glue, but still a bummer. Those figs are really tight in that shaped plastic.

I already did that to the wings of my TIE Advanced #1, without a raider to worry about. I think I will take Joe's advice and destroy the plastic shell.
Besides, I like building my own foam storage areas. My raider won't be going back into that thing anyhow. Now I just have to be patient until the estimated August 20th arrival date on my tracking... Oh. And explain to my wife that yes, I already paid for it back in January. And no, it doesn't mean I won't still spend more on Waves 7, Movie, and 8 when I can get them.
She's gonna kill me. 
If you pry the plastic apart first, both the Advance and the Raider come out easily.
Edited by sleet01Yes that is a problem. I just popped the Advanced from the bottom, but the Raider is really in tight. And it does have some spindly parts you have to watch out for when it comes out.

Well, if you've already paid for in back in January and she hasn't noticed until now, there's no reason to get angry is there?

Yeah. If having your puppy chew a just bought that day TIE Advanced off of my night stand and chew off the port side wing, then yes that would be a weak joint. 
Yeah was unboxing mine yesterday and noticed the Tie was in really tight so i just left it alone as i was tottally distracted by the awsuminess of the raider!!
First time I unpacked a regular advanced I broke a wing off just pushing it down onto the peg, spot of super glue and it was fixed I don't even know which one I broke looking at them but it taught me a lesson.
I like how easily the wings snap off, it makes painting easier.

Big pieces with small connections are always a hazard.
That Falcon could be in big trouble but anyone else notice that the Raider is on backwards?

Just opend my Raiders up. Thanks for the tip. They are a bit pesky to pry out.
