I don't think it's going to be anywhere near the same wait as last year. Last year, Rebel Aces was presold at GenCon and released mid-September. Wave 5 was also presold and released late November. This year, the Raider was presold and is already in general release in the second week of August (way quicker than Rebel Aces). I'll bet we get Wave 7 in the next three weeks or so, but even if it is six weeks from now, it is still way quicker than we got Wave 5 relative to last year.

Let me enjoy my raider before I throw it on the shelf and never use it again first. Wave 7 can wait a little bit longer.

The old theead I found about it going onto the boat was from 7-25. Its been about 3weeks since then so 3 weeks from now seems about right. I am having a hard time waiting that long though.

I wouldn't count on wave 8 before Q1 2016. When I see FFG announce new X-wing stuff, I always just think to myself "what's the latest that it could probably come?" When you see them give a quarter, always assume it'll be the last day of that quarter and probably later than that. Seems like 5-6 months after the announcement we get stuff, and sometimes longer.

I always shake my head when FFG says something like "estimated release: Q2 2015" and people are all "Yay can't wait to get my miniatures in April!"

What I remember him saying is that they miiiight be able to get wave 8 out early in 2016, but not to bank on it.

Maybe I'm wrong. But I thought what he said was 'Wave 8 maybe yet this year but maybe not until next' and the way he said it sounded like getting it out yet this year wasn't likely.

The Raider was on the boat in June, but the company isn't obligated to release a product until they want to. I'd bet three things come into play with the current release of the Raider:

1. US Nationals just happened at GenCon. FFG did not want Raider elements to be legal until AFTER Regional and US Nationals were complete.

2. LFL sill has control over Star Wars product. There's a possibility that they had to abide by an agreement

3. FFG might have had supply issues elsewhere in the world. It makes sense to me that not only do they have to have the product in the US, but it behooves them to make sure their EU, Asian, Aussie and African(?) distributors all have the product as WELL as the US distribution centre.

Just my thoughts about the Raider release. About wave 7 - who knows, but I'm grateful for the wait. I can't afford all these ships like I could with Wave 5.

I've been hearing rumors of September release but now I'm starting to worry about real time ffg delay. I do want my raider and I might be getting other stuff just to avoid having to wait more than a month.

Well I went round my mates for a game and there waiting for me was my raider so I'm good for a while.

I think Wave 7 and Force Awakens expansions are all on the same boat.
