If they don't put the m3-a in a special pack but instead include it in with a huge ship what huge ship for scum could the scyk be best with? Is there a scyk battleship?
Scyk huge ship?
AEG77 Vigo.

Personally, I'm expecting to see a Scyk bundled in with Jabba's Star Jewel. Legend-wise the Star Jewel carried Z-95s, but I don't see anyone begging for more Zs and, if I recall correctly, the Scyk was of Hutt manufacture so it makes a good match thematically.

It seems like FFG has decided releasing the Corvette by itself was a mistake, so odds are we're going to see some fighters with the scum ships. Perhaps the Scyk with a Hutt cartel ship and a Starviper with a Black Sun ship?

How did you come to the conclusion that no ship with the corvette was a mistake? If more epic counterparts to the corvette, a scum large epic for example, come with a ship then I might agree. Until then, the gozanti coming with ties seems more a thematic decision than a need to include. Similarly, by your facetious reasoning, was releasing a gr-75 with only 1 ship a mistake since the gozanti comes with two?

You are forgetting the other Imperial Huge - the Raider had the TIE Advanced.
Indeed, with four 'huge' ships now released, the CR90 is the only one of them that didn't include a fighter. So...I can see the validity of the argument...
So as i said, the gozanti is fixing an error because all other ships come with fewer than two?
I was not forgetting the raider. The gr-75 and the gozanti are analogous to each other, as are the raider and corvette. The fact that one comes with another ship does not mean it was "correcting a mistake", only that FFG saw this as the best place to package the TIE advanced improvements, while simultaneously adding an imperial epic vessel.
If a scum analog, or counterpart, to the raider and corvette comes with a ship I would consider it a valid argument. As well as providing a source, citing FFG saying it was a mistake, would also be very valid proof of the argument. However, just putting forth the statement of "correcting a mistake" is nothing but pure conjecture.

I actually like this option best rather than a Scum aces. I plan on getting into Epic with the Scum epic ship, but I also really want a whatever they do to improve the Scyk. If those are packaged together, I hit 2 birds with one stone. ... And I get a 3rd Scyk!

Why would one more epic ship coming with a fighter prove the point any more to you than the raider doing so?

I think that how the Raider and Gozanti were handled actually tells us a bit about FFG's reaction to their first 'huge' ship releases.
- Each release since having +1 fighter over the first attempt (biggest ship going from 0 -> 1, smaller ship going from 1 -> 2)
- 'Huge' ships released ~6 months apart instead of simultaneously
Both would seem to support the feedback I had heard from some shops, that the first attempt at X-Wing 'huge' ships were doing alright, but not really moving as well as anyone had hoped. Adding more regular-game content to them, and spacing out the releases, both seem like obvious solutions to that...and so I rather expect FFG is going to keep going with that strategy. EDIT: or, I suppose, to clarify...I think FFG intentionally did both things to see if it would help boost the sales of the 'huge' ships in retail channels, and they will be closely watching the results from these two ships vs the first two 'huges' before deciding to handle any further 'huge' releases. Gut feeling is merely that these changes will work to improve sales, and we'll see them continuing in the future.

Well yeah, because I imagine it gets more people to buy it, so it's a win for them. However for me as a customer that doesn't care for spending that much on a ship I'll practically never use, it's a loss since I can't get the fixes for the smaller ships.

I agree. Jabba the Hutt's Star Jewel is, IMO, the best option for a Scum epic ship (along with Talon Karrde's Wild Karrde). It would be obvious to pair the Star Jewel with a Scyk, Kirhaxz, and/or Z-95 (I would still buy it if it had only a Z-95, I'd love to see more low-PS pilots for the Z). And, it would provide an excellent platform to release a crew card for Jabba the Hutt for standard play.
I can't imagine FFG would release any more epic ships without accompanying small-size ships. I mean, how often do any of us play Epic games? Let alone tournament-style epic games? We play way more 100 point games. All of our squad building discussions are for 100 point lists. The best way for FFG to sell epic-size ships right now is to include pilots and upgrades that can be included in 100 point lists.
It's not just about "fixing" ships--such as the TIE Advanced, the Scyk, etc. It's about generating enough revenue to expand your business and reach new customers. I think it would be a horrible idea to launch an epic ship (especially an obscure Scum epic ship, which has never been seen on TV or in the movies) without accompanying small fighters.
Yes, a Scyk with Star Jewel would be more to my liking than a Z-95. But I'd buy a Star Jewel as my first Epic Ship if FFG announced it sooner than I can afford one.
Otherwise, a Scyk with an Action IV, which I really hope is the second Scum ship.
Because of the Z-95 being closely linked to Star Jewel, my guess would be a Z-95 or two in Hutt colours, a better colour scheme in my book, with the Minstrel Yacht. Then a Scyk, or two, with an Action IV Transport.
Like I said, if this became a reality I'd begin saving from the time of the announcement so I can get them.

But how much of the previous ships doing "alright" has to do with the imperials, at the time, not having a huge vessel of their own?
Are two ties not considered equvalent to an x-wing, as evidenced by the starter set?
The only mistake i see is that there was no imperial epic put put sooner, and the options for such at the time necessitated the Raider being invented, as the imperial gozanti didn't exist yet.
Out of curiosity does anybody have a picture of the Star Jewel I have no idea what it looks like.
It would be a piece of Schiyk!
I think the Scyk would be a perfect candidate for the Scum and Villainy Aces pack. As for being added to an Expansion pack much like the TIE Advanced and X-wing. I think the Z-95 headhunter (still looking for a Ndru paint scheme) would be better as included in an Epic pack or maybe the Kihraxz Fighter.

You need to play more epic. Heck I'm almost done with my Kit bring out scum transports.
In all seriousness id rather see the M3-A in a scum aces box with a starviper.
Both see next to no table time.
Having said that, I'll be happy with what ever hits the shelf first

I would love to but it's hard enough getting getting a good ol 100 point death match going
I attended the south island regionals (NZ) without having played a game in months....needless to say I failed miserably...id like to say I enjoyed myself regardless but that TO we are stuck with is over indulging in abusing his power...but that's a rant for another post
Scyk with Star Jewel seems obvious. As the Scyk was primarily a Hutt cartel vessel in Star Wars Galaxies.

I think we will see a Star Jewel, but seeing as it comes in at 10 meters longer, and is a fair bit broader, then a corvette, it will probably be the biggest epic model we will see. So I wouldn't doubt it if they don't include a fighter with it to help keep the cost down. I think they will also release a smaller scum epic ship that will include a fighter re-release, to help keep the cost up.
Out of curiosity does anybody have a picture of the Star Jewel I have no idea what it looks like.
