Always good stuff to read and look at!
Not a bad writeup. I would definately like to see how it would have changed without the NebB getting poofed right off the bat.
I think it has more potential than you give it credit for, but it's also harder to fly than other fleets.
I haven't tried it, but seems to me like approaching through an asteroid wasn't the best place, Corvettes stand to lose more firepower with an obstruction. The Salvation part didn't help. It's also a case of composition, why a Neb-B (lack of CR90s?)? Why all Corvette Bs? I've heard of Corvette swarms from people who were mildly successful with them at tournaments (on this forum, but can't remember their results), and they had an even mix of As and Bs.
Personally I think the A's is where it's at: Mon Mothma with jaina's light on a Corvette A + 5 other Corvette As and that's it! Sadly I don't have enough Corvettes to try that ![]()
I was at a tournament last week, where a 6 'vette swarm won. He had 5 A's, 1 B w/ Mothma and Jaina's Light. I also lost to him. I made the unfortunate choice of bringing Opening Salvo, and the bonus dice he had from the objective were painful to say the least. He started at speed 4 for all of them, and Concentrated fire every turn until the 5th turn, where the ones out of the fight used engineering commands. The things are just so fast! He could fairly easily skirt out of range if one of his got too damaged, and that's exactly what he did. At the end of the game, every Vette had hull damage, but only 2 were killed. He flew them masterfully. I look forward to trying against him again.

Any more upgrades, or was that it? What objectives did he have besides Opening Salvo (no-brainer for a Corvette list)? I'm curious as to the choice of putting Mon Mothma on a B. If you're obstructed (Jaina's light), it's also likely that you're a bit out of range (or maybe this is wrong?).

That was it. He really wanted the init bid. I'm not sure what he had. I was Second player, and didn't think I'd run across a 'Vette swarm, so Opening Salvo seemed like a good idea for me to bring haha. He did admit that Jaina's Light would be better served going onto a different ship.
Opening Salvo did lead to me one-shotting one of his 'Vette's with my Salvation. 3 red, 3 black(2 from Opening Salvo, 1 from Concentrate Fire), Salvation, and XI-7 is really nasty.
I love the top picture
the VSDs didn't even try to keep em in arc
(a futile endeavor if there ever was one)
the lack of CR-90as is indeed a very puzzling one. That A-wing would've given you two.
and yeah...poor salvation did not get the jump it wanted ![]()
I agree with all points made! I only took 5 because I didn't have a 6th model, and then I went to the next model- a Neb B! So I downgraded to Bs. A swarm of As would be tasty! The Corvette is my favorite ship in Star Wars.
