Opportunist and BTL A4

By Scopes, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Would the attacker not be able to employ Opportunist to good effect with a BTL A4 Y Wing?

Does the BTL card give 2 separate attacks? If so, then Opportunist won't apply to the turret attack as the pilot is stressed. Am I understanding that correctly?

BTL is two separate attacks so Opportunist can only be used on one of them.

BTL-A4 does indeed give you 2 attacks. While this is an offensive combo, a stressed Y-wing is not a happy Y-wing. With only a 1-straight and 2-straight in green on its dial, it's not easy to shed stress.

To sum it all up, (assuming you start your attacks with no stress) if you use opportunist on the first attack you will take a stress token thus breaking the conditions needed to use opportunist again. If you chose not to use it on the first attack and still have not taken a stress tokens (from something like rebel captive) you can use opportunist in the second and final attack and then take a stress token that you must clear before you use it again.

That's why you give them an R2 unit or Unhinged Astro. The scum version is better; all 3 maneuvers go green giving the Y-wing 8 maneuvers to choose from.

But anyway, how many Y-wings can take EPTs? Two? Kavil and Horton? And Kavil will never take the title because it negates his pilot ability.

edit:

Oh, wait. Are we talking about a Y with R2-D6?

Horton doesn't have an EPT,so it's just Kavil, who would indeed never run this load-out.
