I plan on picking up two Kihraxz Fighters to complement my two Scyks and my first inclination was the same as yours -- put all 4 named pilots in a list and see what they can do.

I'm getting 2 but I will be far more likely to run them with a pair of Star Vipers.

There are just do many ways to go though...

Doesn't the ability allow any of your ships that are being shot at enemies within Graz's firing arc an extra defense die? It doesn't say that it is when Graz is defending.
