Rebel Build for "Narrative" Event?

By Gornall, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I am relatively new to X-Wing, but I plan on playing in a fairly large narrative event next month that will feature custom missions outside the normal deathmatch. I don't know if that will involve taking out specific ships of the other player, flying to certain points on the board, or what. So I need help in coming up with a "flexible" list that can do well for Rebels in a variety of missions. The mixmash list I have been flying over the past few weeks to get down the basics of flying was:

Wedge, VI, EU, and R3-A2

Biggs

Blue with FCS

Proto with CR

I found that I really love the maneuverability of the A-Wing and Wedge and trying to arc-dodge. So I am thinking of trying out Jake as a cheap Rebel arc-dodging ace with some punch from the Proton Rockets. I was originally going to try the Han and Jake build that seems really good, but I didn't know if it might be possible to build a reasonable 4-ship build with him along the lines of:

Jake Farrell w/ VI, PTL, Proton Rockets, Autothrusters, ATP - 33 pts

3 x Blue Squadron Pilots - 66 pts

99 pts total

The thought was that the B's could provide a good jousting base while Jake makes himself a nuisance and blows someone up with his rockets. Any suggestions, or am I probably better off with a more standard build like the Fat Han and Jake list?

Would it be worthwhile to drop a BSP in favor of a cheaper ship to afford some upgrades for the other two?
