at this point, I dont care when the release date is (ok, this is a lie, I do care, I want it NOW! lol), I just want more info...

I thought they said something about it being released sometime in Q3 at gencon, but I CAN see it slipping into Q4, just really wish it wouldn't.

It was Q3 as a release date *before* GenCon

At GenCon, the Ships that were there had a little "Q4" date next to them.

If you look on Amazon, all the sellers for pre-orders have the date listed for September 30th. However, since these are second and third party sellers, this could just be a tentative date, and not reliable. Still, better than nothing at the moment.

Amazon is just throwing a date in there. They have no idea. If they knew, FFG would know. If FFG knew, they would tell us. It is gonna be at least 2 more months before we get these things in our hands.

I think I may take a break playing Armada until wave 2. There just isn't the ship variety yet, and it feels heavily skewed towards Imperials since they require little to no skill to be brutally effective. Rebels requires a decent amount of skill to even take out one Imperial ship in a 400 point game, it feels.

I've not bought anything Armada yet.

I intend to keep playing as often as I can. Since I am lucky to get in one game a week I still have lots of things I want to experiment with.

That is probably why the game is suggested to be played at 300 right now...

Mu friends and I are playing 400 points games and a couple-games. We need wave 2 too.

Sounds like a lot of products may have been pushed back by the "undisclosed" Force Awakens projects. I full expect we will see an Ep. 7 X-wing expansion, maybe a new Core RPG book, possibly some LCG stuff too. Outside possibilities would be some capital ships for Armada from Ep. 7 and real outside possibility of some Imperial Assault expansions.

There could also be some stand alone Ep 7 games to capitalize on the movie. I think all that really put the production and distribution of current lines back some.

If you can try not to take the break. Keep playing. I agree with some of your points Imperials (based on player skill) an easy time pulling in the win. Rebels are harder to pull the win off with. However, But keep in mind the only way to keep the knife sharp you have to spend time sharpening it.

My wallet is perfectly happy waiting, at this point I would just like some verified spoilers to tide me over.
