Only sort of. I just got off the phone with a NatGeo writer who's trying to piece together a story on the locations of TFA and heard a rumor they'd shot at the place I work. She wasnt' sure because Lucasfilm refused to even tell her where they'd been.

Sadly LF hasn't been here since Ben Burtt came through before ESB (though I did find the authorization form and scheduling document hidden away in a back room! I wonder if this phone number for Burtt is still good...)

So, uhh, it's only sort of true that I was joking about there being AA guns, it's only sort of true that they haven't shot down drones probe droids or that they're reshooting scenes?

Flashback sequence? Transitional sequence? Some old gear is still being used? That isn't Ep. 7 being filmed but Rogue One using some of the same sets?

Sorry, completely missed the thread title when swapping between this and the new Ep. 7 Korean trailer. Thought we were supposed to be looking at Ep. 7 set photos.

Not trolling, too much Star Wars, too little time lately.

Comparing the Rogue One lander ramp (the part you walk on) to the lander ramp in Trailer #1 for Episode 7 (around 36 seconds) there are striking similarities AND a difference. The pattern and even lights on the three back-to-front strips on the platform are identical. In the Comic Con reel at 2:22 you get to see the Ep. 7 lander floor in more detail and again it appears identical to the Rogue One floor strips (the back-to-front ones). But, the side-to-side pattern seen in the Rogue One picture is missing from the Episode 7 sequences. So, there's that.

That Rogue One pic can't be of a Lambda nose, wrong shape (imho) so these comparisons seal it for me - it's an Imperial assault lander that was first used in the Rebellion Era and still used (perhaps a later model?) during the New First Order. So, FFG, when do we get the stats?

It's sort of a joke because from what the NatGeo person said LF totally would outfit their shoot locations with AAA if they could do so legally.
