Whoa, I did something similar last night- I like the touches you've done with the black, I might do the same.

I actually used a medium-dark grey color, Steven. It blends with the red a bit better than black does. But yeah, I got done with the red and white and thought it needed a touch of something else to break up the solidity of the red.

Both versions look great! I also for some reason have thought about "inverting" the scheme on one of my ships. Must be contagious.

The Jedi actually used red like this on their ships to denote that it was a jedi transport. Star Wars: Episode 1, for instance, begins our heroes in such a ship.
