Session Sheet

By Kainrath, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I've started working on a Session Sheet for GMs and Players to keep up with what happens during each play session...

So there will certainly be a large, blank area of the sheet for writing a story-esque summery, but what else?
Just wanted to get some feedback on what is necessary for a sheet like this and what isn't...

Contacts made

Locations visited

Enemies defeated or enemies who got away

Xp earned

Obligation duty or morality changes

Equipment earned or lost

Also contacts with basic reference skills. For example:

"Smuggler name I meet on Tatooine" Streetwise 2 Y 1 G Ranged Light 2 Y 1 G

PS: This is an awesome idea! I use a personal "savegame" version in my games. I need to memo so much info XD Do you want I share it?

oh i absolutely will share it, as soon as it's done! :D

I've been meaning to do a Session Sheet for a while after finishing up all the character sheets, and am finally getting around to it...

Great idea! I'm using a rough version of this in Word to record this stuff, but an actual forum would be nice to have.

I think there’s already a session sheet that has been posted somewhere on the board. I know that I gave something to my GM and he’s been using it that way.

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with reinventing the wheel, if it needs to be reinvented.

Enemies made. Allies made.

NPCs of note in locations they have been. IE bartender at Mos Eisley. Basically stuff that you should move to your campaign notes for a location. Did you use an adversary card? What card did you use?

People they have made a good or bad impression on. Basically if they go back to this location what kind of reputation will they have.

Crits players have

Crits vehicles have.

A location sheet might be good. Basically a place to transfer the above notes to So all the info for a location can be gathered for future use.

What set pieces did you use.

What NPCs are there. What stats if any did you use?

Conflict earned in a session.

Credits acquired/spent

MacGuffin acquired/lost/discovered information about

here are the front and back of the sheet (still working on it, though)

I am unsure what to put in the Obligation, Duty, and Morality boxes?

Ideas?

Dumb question, what do you mean by contacts made?

Items/gear sold/lost?

Contact: an acquaintance, colleague, or relative through whom a person can gain access to information, favors, influential people, and the like.

I assume that's what it means.

yes indeed

Cool.

Conflict earned?

Conflict earned?

Would that be the only necessary thing to keep track of under Morality? (I haven't had the opportunity to run any F&D games yet :( )

Conflict earned can result in your morality going either up or down, depending on how you roll at the end of the session. So, I can see keeping track of three things — conflict earned, results of morality roll, and net morality change after the roll.

Or, just track conflict earned and let the players handle the math for calculating the net morality change, after they make their morality roll.

It all depends on how much stuff you actually want/need to track on a session-by-session basis.

Might want a checkbox for "Obligation Triggered" and next to it a blank for character. Maybe a list of Duties (since it's a concrete list) with a box for the number changed and a space for a list of characters next to it?

As for Morality, similar mechanic for "triggering", maybe?

Also might want to mention the event that the obligation triggering caused.

I would also recommend rolling obligation at the end of the session. That way you can note whose obligation triggered then plan it for the next session instead of trying to shoe horn something in.

How does this look?

Coolio.

Maybe add lost gained check boxes on items because they could be lost or gained.

This looks to be for a single player... I thought it was for the entire party and was to be used by the GM to keep track of things?

I'm working on the GM version...

It should be done soon!
