BTLeebo List

By KomS0Mol, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Guys what do you think about this list?

“Leebo” (51)
YT-2400 Freighter (34), Determination (1), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Outrider (5), Engine Upgrade (4)

Gold Squadron Pilot (25)
Y-Wing (18), BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0), R3-A2 (2), Ion Cannon Turret (5)

Gold Squadron Pilot (24)
Y-Wing (18), BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0), R2 Astromech (1), Ion Cannon Turret (5)

Classic stresshog and his ionizing mate. Non-stress Y-wing often goes for blocking. Leebo with HLC flanking and trying to survive for the end game. Pretty nice to play and solid list. Didn't lost a single game with it for several weeks. Any weaknesses or advices?

I've noticed that I don't use EU so much so I want to drop it for Proximity Mines on my blocking Y. It can block and then fly through and drop the mines right into the face for 3 red dice. IG-88 and RAC really disliked it today) Any thoughts about such exchange?

My experience is admittedly limited, but I like your thinking on EU - seems to me it's already hard enough for your slow Y-Wings to keep up with a large-based ship and part of the reason they're there is to provide cover if someone gets inside your doughnut of destruction, right?

No. Y's flying apart from Leebo usually. It's done for splitting enemy fire and attention. If they come for Leebo Y's goes right after them. If they come for Y's - Leebo doesn't care because of HLC.

Shows what I know! Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but on the other hand I learned something :D

No more comments? Anyone?

If you're not convinced that the EU is pulling its weight then why not trade it for a recon specialist? I find that having two focus tokens each turn is incredibly useful on ships that have more than one evade die.

Great advice! But I don't have RecSpec card.

As they come with both the HWK and phantom they're fairly common, maybe someone can lend you one? If that's not possible and you're only playing friendly matches I don't think anyone would mind you not having the card as long as the squad points are correctly counted.
