Can someone tell me what how I might use this to my advantage, and how a json file works.
Also what is the Squad Builder ID about, its purpose.

hi!
here's a few fun tricks to try.
1) goto http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/searchand type this into the search bar
pilot=Jan and ship=yt2400
that will show you all the different rebel death star builds. here's the search guide: http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/search_guide
2) goto http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/listrankand check out the most played lists
3) goto http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/tableauand have a look and some summary data about what is being played
re: your other two questions:
how a json file works.
json is a data format that expresses data in a simple, readable fashion. cryodex, the tournament management software, outputs a json file that represents a tournament results. list juggler then uses this file as input to create a round-by-round tournament summary. here's an example tourney: http://lists.starwarsclubhouse.com/get_tourney_details?tourney_id=577
finally, the squad builder id is a way of importing lists from tools like yasb and voidstate. for voidstate, it is a number like "53422" that shows up when you try to export the squad to xws.
hth!
