LOS question

By Oncus, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Can the hero see and target a monster (orange square) in the example below? Am I using the LOS rules correctly? If the monster is a valid target, what about if the monster square was relocated to the far right, in the same row - would it still be visible? I'm guessing that the LOS tool is for Descent 1st edition.

Hello

1-Yes he has LOS to the monster and so target it with ranged attacks
2-Yes ou are (from one of your corners you must be able to target one of the target corners - without crossing a blocked square nor following the side of a blocked one)
3-Yes
4-Yes the tool you take the image from is for Descent V1 (the is no spawnable concept in V2)

You must be able to draw a straight uninterrupted line from one corner of the square the targeting figure is standing on to one of the corners of the space the target is standing on. If the line is a vertical or horizontal line, (the line visible on the gameboard, no figure can be on a square that makes up one of the four sides of the square.
