FFG Galaxy Map PDF/Physical Map Poster

By Bs4w, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Oh man, thanks! I'm away from the computer today but I will get to correcting it tomorrow! I really appreciate your input!

I've opened the map in MS Paint and inverted the colours to proof read

Estacasion Junkfort = Junkfort Station - Grid T8

Nueva Cov = New Cov - Grid P14

Neuva Apsolon = New Apsolon - Grid P10

La Rueda = The Wheel - Grid R7

Grid O5 has Confluencia which is Confluence, not sure what this is supposed to be though

Borgo Prima = Borgo Prime - Grid M6

And as mentioned earlier Rakata Prima at Grid G11

Those are all I can see right quick, I have another game starting soon, but I'll gladly give it a more thorough look sometime this weekend I hope.

Great work, I actually started this myself last week. LOL

O5 - should be JUNCTION

Map is now updated! Many thanks!

I heard rumours of a physical map being included in the new Escape from Jakku beginner box

Map is now updated! Many thanks!

I tried the same link but it looks like the old version of the map? Great job though!

Yeah, looks like you uploaded the old version.

Either way, glad I could help.

Should be fixed now!

I'm curious to know... does each core rulebook and/or sourcebook have a different galaxy map? Does a planet like Lothal just show up but other places from this book disappear in the FaD core?

It's either the will of The Force....

... or someone erased it from the memory banks :)

Sitting EotE & FaD core next to each other, I see there are many small differences in the maps. They are both the same orientation, but different planets are noted or even placed between the two. They are fairly similar though.

updated the map again to include planets from The Force Awakens!

There doesn't seem to be any clear indication of where exactly Lothal is located...

anyone have any ideas?

Outer Rim, for sure. Probably not too far from Tatooine, as Ezra has heard of Jabba (at least enough to use the name as an alias early in season 1).

Oh and the Force Awakens beginner game will have a galaxy map woot

I've also read that, but only on these forums. Could someone link me to the source please?

Ok, so it's in the picture, but the description states: "... and one full-color, double-sided foldout map. One side features the lost temple to which the heroes must travel, and the other side depicts select bridges and ruins from the mountainous terrain surrounding the temple."

It is also stated that the box contains 1 double sided map, which I would assume the above refers to.

That's also the same description as the map from the F&D beginner box, and, combined with no other mention of a temple in the TFA box, leads to the conclusion that it's a copy/paste error in the description.

Excellent work, Kainrath.

Q16: Cristopsis should read Christophsis.

I'd say that's an assumption, but the picture of the map could as easily also just be place-holder. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case, although it'd be wonderful with a poster sized map like that.

I have not seen FFG use placeholder images ever before. so I doubt it is a placeholder.

Are there plans to update this map with new planets as they're revealed? I printed the map on a custom 24in x 14in playmat at inkedgaming and it turned out really nice but I'd like to print an updated one with new planets as they're revealed in the movies.

Absolutely

Excellent work, Kainrath.
