Ok don't know if this or something like it has been tried before but here we go.

wedge has r2 d2 + lone wolf + shield upgrade.

dash has vi + hlc + assault missiles + eu + outrider + kyle katarn.

Drop assault missiles on Dash and go for the usual fat Dash with PTL.

For Wedge I suggest you drop lone wolf and replace it with predator and replace shield upgrade with engine upgrade. Wedge needs some ability to position to improve his chance of survival long enough to be worthwhile.LW may not be so bad on Wedge if you can keep him outside range 2 of Dash, but you do want him to offer some cover for the range one hole.

The eu upgrade i was debating on for the same reasons you mentioned.

My question for predator is this, how often will you face a player with ps 2 compared to what lone wolf may offer?

How often will you see PS 2? more times then you will have wedge beyond range 2 of Dash most likely. I really like loan wolf but predator is always the better option. unless you are taking Luke Guri, N'Dru Suhlak or don't have the points

Most Rebel lists are full of 2PS B-wing tanks. Some Imperial lists pop pilot skill that low around, just for giggles. I really don't know about S&K lists yet.

But there's a few. Beating up rebel Rebel factions is all in a day's work sometimes.

Predator is better than Lone Wolf because it will always come into play -- doesn't matter what position you're in, as long as you have a shot. One reroll is a good deal; two against low-PS pilots is just frosting on the cake. Plus, you can use it to reroll foci as well as blanks. Lone Wolf is nice defensively, but Predator means you're more likely to be able to save your focus for defense. Lone Wolf is better in the endgame, but Predator is more useful in the initial furball.

Hey all. Wanted to bump this to ask about this combo as well. I was thinking about...

Wedge. PTL, Engine Upgrade, Proton Torpedoes, R2-D2.

Dash. Vet Inst, Engine Upgrade, Outrider, HLC, Navigator.

The thought was to get PS 9 on Dash, Navigator and Boost in order to cut down on Range 1 attackers. I like PTL and EU on Wedge in order to still give him maneuverability while still taking those crappy 2 banks. I'm not in love with Proton Torpedoes, but I just didn't know what to do with the extra 4 points.

Thoughts?

Should I switch to Corran or can I keep Wedge (from post above)?

I'd recommend going Corran, only because you'll find several ships in the meta that really don't rely on evade dice now, which means Wedge won't be quite as effective.

Also, Corran's double tap can absolutely make people think twice about flying into the donut hole.
