LFG threads

By tradingyesterday, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Not sure if this the proper place for this, but I live in an area where there is zero interest in the game let alone RPG groups, I am completely new to the system and although I eventually would like to run some sessions with some fellow gamers, I feel I need to get some experience learning and interacting with the system and with fellow gamers. I am primarily thinking that I will have to hook up with a group online via Skype. Is there a thread on the forums for people looking for groups to run adventures, and where might it be hiding? I did some research and found a place called roll20....seems a little over my head with a learning curve attached and most of the games are DnD/ pathfinder.

Check out the roll20 website, the system isn't hard after you get the hang of it. Plenty of groups on there that will advertise for new players and teach you. I learned and I'm old.

Sometimes others will advertise on these forums LFG, so follow the Age of rebellion and Force websites also.

Where do you live? You may find a poster here living in the same area.

A game I'm playing on Roll20, The Dark Jewel of Ragnos is looking for another player after we lost one of ours. We're starting our second session on the 19th, and you'd be taking over a pre-existing character, but he has XP available and plenty of credits.

Thanks for the tips, I jumped into Roll20 lfg and I am trying to join a force and destiny campaign! I live in a secluded area in colorado, and I did attempt to run a game of edge but it wasnt the "power gaming" that some of the group was used to, and they kept trying to sabotage the game and learning process. Sadly I threw my hands up in defeat and pulled the plug, but I have not lost interest in the game, been trying to find an online community/group that I could learn how to play and eventually begin telling stories again. I have faith in this system, just was finding a good online group to be discouraging.
