Possible Rebel Build for FLGS Tournament

By Scopes, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Here's what I have:

blank.gif?v124Luke Skywalker + R5-P9 + Lone Wolf + Stealth Device (36)
blank.gif?v124Wes Janson + R7 Astromech + Swarm Tactics (33)
blank.gif?v124Blue Squadron Pilot + Fire-Control System + Flechette Cannon + B-Wing/E2 + Han Solo (29)

Here's what I'm thinking:

Blue Squad will attack, obtain a TL, and then trigger Han Solo. Is that legal? I think it is, but I want to be clear about what constitutes "...after you perform an attack...". Does that mean the instant after I roll the red dice?

Also, how does this look? I figure I'll face lots of IG and Fat Turret builds. I usually fly 3 - 4 TIEs, but they lack hitting power (my lists are usually 2 - 3 INTs or 2 INTs and 2 TIEs).

I am not sold on keeping R7 on Wes, but am not sure what other R2 units are worthwhile. As the list currently stands, I have 2 points for an initiative bid, and I like to have the initiative when I play.

For what it's worth, I've seen a lot of people say that Stealth Device just isn't worth it for ships with fewer than three agility dice. I'm not a math guy like many on here but evidently there's a sweet spot when you go from three dice to four that isn't nearly as sweet when going from two to three. If I'm adding up your list correctly, you have 98 points as is, meaning you can drop the stealth device in favor of a shield upgrade which is generally more recommended for increasing the survival rate for something like an X-Wing. Also that would synergize well with your astromech selection.

Also, to me, the flechette cannon seems a little out of place since you're not really going all-in on stress control (which might be a good tactic if you're going to see lots of robots and other fatties, BTW). I wonder if the following isn't sort of what you're going for, but less tricky and a little more robust:

You still use Wes to strip tokens, then your other two ships hit like hammers.

Ya stealth on Luke will likely be wasted points

People usually go with shield or hull upgrade. Especially if he is getting shields back

Han Solo essentially let you take a Target Lock action and decide after you roll if you would have rather had a Target Lock or a Focus to spend. Fire Control System doesn't give you a Target Lock until after you have finished resolving an attack so it is too late to spend the Target Lock on that attack. What it does is give you a Target Lock to use next turn if you continue attack the same target.

If you are regenerating shields on Luke giving him a Shield Upgrade may work out to be worth 3 or 4 points of damage if you are good at getting Luke out of harm's way to regen. Without a shield upgrade Luke can get hit for two damage in a round without taking any permanent damage. With the shield upgrade he needs to suffer three points of damage to take his first point of permanent damage. I also think that R2-D2 works better than R5-P9 with Lone Wolf. Lone Wolf doesn't let you reroll focus results so you'll want an focus to spend to get the most out of it.
