That is one strange looking ship...
I LIKE IT!
Wave 7=Bad News for Plano Fans
meh... honestly kind of ugly and large. Sigh. If only I didn't have a great build idea that needed it.
The Khiralskngls;dmf on the other hand is growing on me.
And the Tie poo is growing on itself. Like a tumor.
I like the teeth on the top though, never saw that before today.
Also holy crap, that Kwing is ugly hahaha.
Watch me buy them and love them anyway... >< ugh.
Edited by Blail BlergHow tall is it, exactly? 2" or under?

Time to break out the dremmal again
Ugh, the panel lines crossing on the top hatches. Lazy, stupid design work.
To what are you referring? The teeth painted on the top?

Eh, FFG miniature wizardry has already worked their magic.
I bet if someone were to make a guide to magnetizing them, it would be well-read
I'm clearing the epic ships from the top compartment and buying some foam.
Exactly I will just get a tote to put my epic ships in. Then keep the plastic inserts from the Hound's Tooth packaging and just stick them up top. No Worries they'll fit.

With Armada, the Victory and the Assault Frigate are just slightly too big for the large Plano boxes to shut. So I just popped the lid off of one and stuck it in the top compartment of my larger Plano carry-all and it fits fine. It's a tray now instead of a box, but it works for what I need.
Specifically that the panel lines cut through the teeth, leaving weird slices of paneling.

Unless I'm completely misunderstanding you, the 'teeth' look like something the owner of the ship has quickly painted on the top to go along with it's 'Hounds Tooth' name. Presumably this is exactly what it's meant to look like?

That should be the case, but they made them actual panels, which is baffling.
I'm sorry, but I'm still not quite understanding. There looks to be 3 panel lines on the top of the ship in the "teeth" area, one towards the front of the ship and 2 close together in the middle, which cross the painted on teeth at random spots.
Well, I need something for the Epic ships, anyways. I'm thinking of one of those black and yellow cases that is deep enough to hold the epic ships. I figure there is enough room to hold the Hound's Tooth.
I figured as much. At least the Ghost won't fit either, so it will have company. Well, as I'm pulling out Imperial ships of my normal case to make room for the influx of Kihraxz I plan on getting, I keep thinking about popping them in my GW skirmish case (with the new zigzag foam). Maybe the Hounds Tooth and Ghost will join them there.
I use the crusade case and have no issues whatsoever. I just have my pilot card binder outside the box. The zigzag foam works better than I expected it to.

The teeth are panel lined, unless I'm very much mistaken.
Looks like white teeth with painted black outlines to me.
Well, I tried to reproduce the method my buddy used to pop off the wing / thruster module, and it went... not great.
But it looks like there's an even simpler method that reduces the total footprint of the Hound's Tooth significantly.
First off, these are the panel lines people are talking about:

Next, the assembled ship size:

When I tried to gently pry the wings up off the rear deck, the whole thing came off (and fairly easily). There was some creaking from the main body, but it didn't take much to get the two big parts to separate:

From the bottom:

I continued trying to pry up the wings, but the plastic was very soft and easily damaged:

A little clearer with flash on:

Since the sides of the module seemed to have little to no glue, I then tried prying them outward to put pressure on the glued part:

And I was able to pry the edges upward slightly this way:

Then a bad thing happened:

But it turned out okay, because even this shrinks the footprint considerably:

Or, more rectilinearly:

It's not quite as cool as a detachable wing module, but I can still magnetize this boom and pack the Hound's Tooth around in a number of smaller trays / boxes / lids.
if the end comes off that easily, im going to be doing that.
And posting some titanic themed videos.
"Gentlemen, it's been a privilege flying with you tonight." -Bossk, immediately before triggering the Dead Man's Switch and flying the Nashtah Pup out of the burning wreckage of the Hound's Tooth?

No, a slo mo of the Hound's Tooth falling apart from the middle. Nashtah Pup franktically paddling to get out of the way. Han and Leia on the bow, and a group of Wookie musicians going down with the boat.
