Just completed my first epic game last night (at 1:30 a.m.!) using my brand spanking new raider! It was an awesome game, came down to my last tie fighter finishing off the corvette with only one hull on the TIE and 4 hull remaining on the Aft of the raider. It was a great game. Really loving epic now that both sides have a ship.

p.s. Grand Moff Tarkin rocks, and the grand daddy of them all is totally worth 8 points and two crew slots. The Emperor is Awesome!

Does the Raider comes with specific missions?

Anyone has a picture of a raider and a CR90 together (to compare dimensions)?

(sorry if all of this is already available info, I'm just an occasional reader of this board, and new threads and discussions abound!)

It seems the Rebels were outnumbered a lot, or is that my imagination?

Did the Rebels have a lot of upgrades that were wasted or not effective?

Edit: just saw there was a Hawk instead of a 4th Z-95 so I changed that

AGI 0 ships get obliterated fast in epic, better bring them as cheap supportive roles (ie Fleet Officers) so other deadlier ship can become super aggressive (a pair of PTL interceptors maybe) and attract fire away from them

AGI 1 ships better come in clusters and not as one offs, because they suffer from almost the same problem. A squadron of B-Wings are fine, though

I had the exact opposite experience during a Team Epic match. My low AG ships (HLC shuttles) hung in for quite a while, but my Interceptors ate concentrated fire that overwhelmed their tokens and Autothrusters. The rules change for ranges greater than 3 brought them down to mortal levels.

Are you talking about Surprise Attack? If you played that and didn't have too much fun, I'd really like to hear why. Sometimes the rules in my scenario aren't written clearly enough, or there are balance problems that I overlooked during playtesting. (I'm a only a one-man show here!). If there's something I can fix in the scenario I'd like to know what it is - I really want these Raider Missions to be top notch. Feel free to shoot me a PM or whatever and let me know how the game went. I'd appreciate it if you did!

It should be really well balanced (assuming the Raider is about as good as the Corvette), and offers a lot of room for the players to come up with their own strategies.

Raider is head and shoulders above the CR-95.

Not sure Epic play is even remotely balanced. Do like the idea and just flying a bunch of smaller ships against Raider and Co. sounds fun though.
