First Order Star Destroyer image

Thought this might be of interest as it may be something we'll see in an upcoming wave...

Here is an image of the new Star Destroyer from episode VII as shown on a toy packet. Unlike the second teaser, it shows us the top, rather than the side/bottom.

Bridge seems to be quite high, and I see the contour of a large, Raider-like engine (Raider-like in proportion with the rest of the ship).

What's better than a Star Destroyer?

A Star Destroyer with another Star Destroyer on top! lol

It kinda looks like a Star Destroyer with an extra underbelly of another, slightly bigger one.

Yo dawg, we heard you liked star destroyers, so we put a star destroyer on top of your star destroyer!!!

Love it!

The lower part that looks like the "second tier" is a ram/prow that looks awesome in the trailer!

I like this ship.

Wave 3? 4?

It's like the turducken of Star Destroyers. Starar Destroyeryer!

While I like the new Star Destroyer, it's not the old one. The old one will always have a coolness factor that cannot be surpassed, simply because it was the original.

Could not agree more!

I love how much amaze-sauce X-Wing and Armada are going to be getting over the next 3-6 years. Utterly perfect timing for these games to coast along on constant refreshing of ideas and constant renewals of interest. Great time to be a Star Wars fan (especially with Disney and FFG shunning the hell outa prequel-erra garbage ^_^ ).

If they just keep stacking triangles the rebellion will be doomed!

The proportions are more interesting than the Giraffe Imperial-Is from Rebels.

Hard to say how she would perform in the game when we don't even have the Imperial to push around. The Imperial might also end up quite powerful, and anything improving on the Imperial would just end up overpowered!

I want to have one to play in Armada though, no question. I'd want one more than any other scum or third party ship in any period of the Legends continuity.

Is it like the chalupa of Star Destroyers? CSD?

...

God...what abominations, I hate pretty much everything from Rebels; which is strange since McQuarries art is phenomenal, but their take on it in the show is abysmal.

And I rather like the work in Rebels. Goes to show you can't please everyone no matter how hard you try. I am sure there will be some hate for Episode VII stuff too.

I'm... waiting to see some more detail on that thing. As of now it's 'no comment' as to my opinion, but I do sort of like the underbite and taller command structures. It looks like the hangars are a little less prominent as well. It could all be really cool (it vaguely reminds me of the Bellator and that's one of my favourite classes for aesthetics). I wonder how big it'll be, and if it'll effectively be an Imperial-III class or something completely different. Oh well, it has potential.

Colour me curious but uncommitted. I like the original ISD, naturally, but designs can always improve aesthetically or be just new and good. As for Rebels.... I hate the animation style, story is okay, new ship designs are fine in principle, wonder what season 2 brings to the table.

Something that keeps confusing me about First Order tech...

How is it that the Empire developed all this advanced tech and gained the finances needed to upgrade everything from the TIE to the SD, AFTER the battle of Endor?

Aren't they supposed to be on the ropes? Struggling to establish a new foothold in the galaxy?

And... somehow... also improving on all their technology and pumping out fresh capital ships...

I'm sure they'll hand-wave it away in the exposition of VII but still, it confuses me.

"Not anymore."

With a new toy line at stake, nothing is impossible!

The real question is, how there is so little resources in general when they have an entire galaxy.

This is the single biggest complaint I have with the show. Overall I find it okayish, it seems more childish/kid focused than Clone Wars was. But the first time I saw the star destroyers I was aghast with how wrong they looked. The only other thing about the show that came close to bothering me this much was when Tarkin and cohorts were discussing the Rebels actions and how there were "no casualties" as a result. This bothered me do to the fact that we see numerous storm troopers and TIEs get gunned down by the heroes.
