Field Officer/General, Double Order

By Norgrath, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

What do you think, is the same name enough to constitute the same ability or can an officer with field officer use order twice (and similar for an elite officer and executive order)?

I would count them as two different abilities (with the same name). Since you only use each ability once I believe it is a perfectly legal move.

Wrong topic, sorry ...

Hi, I up this thread again because I have been looking for a solid answer and I haven't found one. Is it correct what Hattin is saying?

Basically they are different abilities. (There is only a rule about skirmish Command Cards of the same name.)

Field Officer is another source for Order and Field General is another source for Executive Order. You can perform each special action once per activation.

Q: If an elite Imperial Officer has the "Field General" card attached, can it use "Executive Order" twice during the same activation?

A: Yes. Since he has two copies of the ability available, he is not using the same special action twice, so this would be legal.
