Recon Specialist and Experimental Interface.

By Zogwort, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hello everyone who knows more about the rules than me! :)

If I have a ship with a Recon Specialist crew and the Experimental Interface modification, if my action is Focus, it triggers the Rec Spec, giving me a total of 2 Focus token. If I choose my free action from the Experimental Interface to be another Focus, does it trigger the Rec Spec a second time, giving me a total of 4 focus tokens?

Thanks in advance!

No, your free action from EI must be from an upgrade card with the Action: header.

That, and you can't perform the same action more than once in a round.

NO, NO as already noted.

Experimental Interface is used to activate an upgrade card that has an ACTION header on it.

Secondly, even if you had PtL instead and could use an Action from your Action Bar you could NOT select Focus again as you have already done that action this turn and Recon Specialist requires performing that action.

Note that multiple Recon Specialists EACH give "one additional Focus token" when the Focus Action is performed.

Yes like above said

If you had Daredevil let's say, you could Focus, get two focuses.

E.I kicks in, you take your stress now you can use Daredevil (and get another stress)

Thanks everyone for clearing that up! :)
