2 warthog, 2 A-Wing build?

By Darbot, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Just wondering if anyone could share a build with these ships?

Been using dash and b-wings a lot, but looking to change up my tactics against my usual friend I play against every week.

We play a casual game, but we are both ruthless to each other, so any help would be great.

Thanks eh!

============= 2 Warthog 2 A =============

100 points

Pilots ------

Gold Squadron Pilot (23) x 2 Y-Wing (18), BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0), Ion Cannon Turret (5)

Green Squadron Pilot (27) x 2 A-Wing (19), Proton Rockets (3), Push the Limit (3), Autothrusters (2)

Nice list. The Y-wing ionizes the target and the A-wing swoops in for the proton rocket attack with target lock and focus. I would try to squeeze in the R2 astromech if you can.

Y-wings are very susceptible to stress. Their only green is straight ahead.

I'd go stress bot on a ywing. R3-A2

I have done tricked out Jake and Tycho with a stresshog. Comes in at 100 points with the bomb load out and a seismic charge on the 4 PS Y wing. You can pick up two more points with a 2 PS pilot.

I'd drop the Auto-thrusters on the A-Wings and make them both Test Pilots (is it limited?).

Drop Squad Leader onto one for a freak commander for those Y-wing target locks or focus, and Stay on Target onto the other for massive movement dial advantage.

I still don't know what I'd drop for it, but turret Y-wings without R2 astromechs is asking for trouble should they get the smallest amount of stress tokens applied to them. I'd probably drop Squad Leader from my own suggestions and put one droid on both Y-wing. It really is that important.

Alpha strikes are nice, except when they aren't.

So, -2 Autothrusters, +Stay on Target, +2 R2 Astromechs. In my opinion.

Looks like a scary list as is actually. Well done :)
