[old] Odanan's custom cards

Sorry to be the one to break it to you but we haven't seen a proper Heavy Scyk or Light Scyk for that matter.

From the original source, the Heavy Syck has eight times the mass of the original Scyk;

so how would one be 8 times the mass as the other and still look the same?

The EU excuse is lame, considering we have a TIE phantom, TIE defender, and many other EU ships.

It looks like most of the N-1 "variants" are from the awful SW Galactic Battlegrounds...

If the Heavy Scyk is indeed so different of the regular Scyk, boo for FFG. :/

Ugly is very subjective. The NX police cruiser for example...

Hmm... I don't know... the missiles and torpedoes are so badly implemented in this game that I don't like to touch them...

Sure, but a Homing Torpedo wouldn't be that different from a Homing Missile.

You just take the three cards and fill in the fourth spot: Proton Missile, Proton Torpedo, Homing Missile, Homing Torpedo.

Small would not mean less attack dice but less damage, so a homing missile that does 2 damage if it hits, cancelling the dice results. The defender can't spend evade tokens.

After reading the Proton Rocket entry on Wookieepedia I think they should have made it 5 attack dice minus the range. It's not a good reference in any case. But besides, Range 1-2 for size, Attack (Focus) for homing.

So this came to mind as something to help the certain turrets, but I realize it's way to powerful at any cost, someone will figure out how to turn 5 crits in to 10 hits in one shot. How would you tone it down?

DESIGN NOTES:

Ace expansion focused on the TV series Star Wars Rebels.

The Phoenix Squadron Pilot with 0 PS is not only a joke/reference to how bad they were in the series, but opens, along with the custom upgrades, a new way to play with the A-Wings (as cheap, swarmy blockers)

Phoenix Squadron Vets are straightforward. Those are the most talented (or lucky) pilots that managed to survive the series. They offer a cheap Elite upgrade.

Ahsoka, a canonical A-Wing pilot, got a new ability (something uncommon, but possible in this game, when changing ships) that gives her an “Ace Killer” status. Considering she beat the hell of Darth Vader, that’s a pretty cool ability.

Hera is just being Hera.

The exclusive A-Wing upgrades are all based on legends or canon material. It seems reasonable that the A-Wings in Rebels are not the more advanced RZ-1 models used later by the Alliance, but the (now Legends) R-22 Spearhead .

About the B-Wing:

The canonical Blade Squadron would fill the gap for the PS 3 and cheap elite.

Quarrie, the engineer that created the Blade Wing prototype got a negative ability and low PS, in accord to his statement “Oh I don't fly, too dangerous.” This is a guy that knows everything theoretical about flying, but who doesn’t seat in the cockpit. Sure his “inability” is compensated by a squad cost discount.

Braylen is the same pilot of the ARC, but now in his specialized ship (got and EPT for that). I wanted to give him a new ability, but couldn’t think of any at the moment.

And here is Hera again (should I change the name of the expansion to “Hera’s Ace Pack”?) :P

The Rotating Cockpit and Multi-Cannon are based on cards by Rakaydos. My Rotating Cockpit is simpler but weaker. And Blade Wing Prototype exists basically to allow the Multi-Cannon (which was designed to kill only ships with low agility).

The 3 crew upgrades are a tribute to characters that showed (or will show) in Rebels. I especially like the Hondo card (so many possibilities!).

PPS: it is running for the Custom Card League 2nd Season .

You do realize that multicanon can be equipped on Aggressor?

Gimme just Veteran Co-Pilot and Trainer ship and go home...i want those 2....and Saw goddamn high time Rebels get some autodamage and that is really interesting form of autodamage! But he should have a note - before rolling for damage, so you cannot wait to see if your opp roll poor or not.

You might need to re-formulate Hondo, because you could put him onto a Lancer, thus having 3 Illicit and putting 3 of the same in there.

How about "You cannot equip multipels of the same <Illicit> upgrades". or "All <Illicit> upgrades on this ship are now "Limited"".

Have you ever noticed this. I'm very tempted to come up with an upgrade. The only practical purpose I can image at the moment is chaff: No damage, just a stress bomb, loss of target locks maybe.

I don't agree that a cloud of paper has to be atmospheric only, any more than the TIE Striker is.

What about this? It leaves a "cloud" of pamphlets and any enemy ship touching that cloud gets a weapon disabled token. (now we need to find an image of thousands of pamphlets flying)

I uploaded this on January 29th, and I could have sworn I posted it, which makes it weird that i didn't because it's almost identical to your advanced concussion missile for a very different ship.
