[old] Odanan's custom cards

I know FFG has avoided making direct reference to the Force,

and so there are only subtle things like Luke changing a focus to evade,

but I was inspired by this scene in the movie and couldn't resist.

Do you foresee any odd interactions with this ability?

I'm not sure I understand the card effect.

For green tokens there is Evade, Focus, Reinforce, ...

For red tokens there is Stress, Ion, Weapon Disabled, Targeted Lock, ...

For blue tokens there is Cloak, Targeting Lock, Shields...

I'm sure you'll notice the pattern, Green Good, Red Bad, Blue idk/Utility.

But generally it's meant to give good and remove bad.

The only problem I see with this is the fact there are players out there who would argue that since their tokens (Custom ones, specifically) fall under certain colors, they'd be able to acquire/remove them via this card.

I don't know about a name, but how about a built in Intimidation?

"Ships you are touching receive -1 agility"

Really nice card and paintjob btw.

I like the twist on abilities, and I think it looks good, but... How about a title like the Alliance Overhaul?

Yes, I want to do the "Royal Naboo" title, but didn't find an interesting effect yet.

Well I'm wondering are they Rebels or Naboo? You mean something like Royal Veterans? homage to their experience as Royal Guards. I still think Alliance Overhaul is your best angle, the N1 only is enough to distinguish it from the ARC-170 only title.

ARC-170 ONLY. TITLE.

When attacking with a primary weapon from your primary firing arc, you may roll 1 additional attack die.

When attacking from your auxiliary firing arc, you may change 1 of your Focus results to a Critical result.

I would suggest an Evade related ability, like "after performing a barrel roll assign an evade token."

And since the ARC-170 has two angles, maybe something related to torpedoes also...

"When attacking with a torpedo, you may change 1 of your Focus results to a Critical result."

I was just noticing in episode one all the N1 astromechs were either blue or yellow,

so I had to go and rechecked the R2 generic that we have...

You're okay with R2 Astromech changing your red 2K to green?

R2_Astromech.jpg

You've got to have an R2-C4 and/or R2-D3, or R2-L1,

R2-A6, R2-M5, R2-N3, R2-R9, R2-B1, G8-R3, "Wrench"

Oops. It's a title. (updated the post)

I don't understand, are these different upgrades or a revision?

Revision.

Royal Chromium Finish sounds good to me, as a light mod, with a second mod option.

The N-1's roles included reconnaissance/patrol missions, escort duty, system defense, and ceremonial functions.

You have room for other titles, for those specialized duties.

As well as the size versions, since there is now a heavy and light scyk,

you could do the N-1L light interceptor and the N-1T advanced, with a tech slot.

The N-X Police Cruiser reads like it might have boost.

Yep, but those look so different of the N-1... and I guess none in new canon.

Sorry to be the one to break it to you but we haven't seen a proper Heavy Scyk or Light Scyk for that matter.

From the original source, the Heavy Syck has eight times the mass of the original Scyk;

so how would one be 8 times the mass as the other and still look the same?

The EU excuse is lame, considering we have a TIE phantom, TIE defender, and many other EU ships.

If you don't already have it, I highly recommend this book:

Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed Game Guide

I don't have that book! Will look for it.

Yes, the EU excuse is lame, but there are EUs and EUs. It looks like most of the N-1 "variants" are from the awful SW Galactic Battlegrounds...

If the Heavy Scyk is indeed so different of the regular Scyk, boo for FFG. :/

Ugly is very subjective. The NX police cruiser for example...

naboonxpolice.jpg

... the title card might remove the astromech slot, restrict speed to 3, but add boost.
