"Euron Crow's Eye" text clarification

I have a question about Euron Crow's Eye's text:


Reaction: After Euron Crow's Eye discards a card using pillage, put a location from the losing opponent's discard pile into play under your control.


Now, that reads to me like the Euron Crow's Eye player is the one that selects which location from that opponent's discard pile that player controls.


I've seen the opponents from the Kingslayer tournament at Gen Con make this choice which makes a difference if it was suppose to be the Euron Crow's Eye player making it.


Am I incorrect on this?

I believe it should be the Eurons Crow's Player who choses the location.

It is definitely the GJ player who choses which location they put into play under their control. The text really isn't ambiguous at all.

Generally speaking, a triggered ability is always read and resolved from the point of view of the controller of the card/ability. If an opponent gets to do or choose something, the ability will specifically say so.
