No.
No. You can't benefit from two “copies” of the same ongoing effect. Once an ongoing effect is activated, you can't activate it again, but if you still have any Force Rating left to commit, you can always activate other ongoing effects.
well, that's what i am trying to explain to someone else. so far i have not been able to come up with anything better than "read the rules". any help? 
got a quote for the limit on ongoing effects? i know that's how it works but i can't seem to find it in the rules.
Pg 282 (Left column, second full paragraph) states explicitly you can't activate the same power twice:
"While an ongoing effect is active, the character may not activate that specific ongoing effect again (the character cannont be benefitting from two "copies" of the same ongoing effect)."
Addendum: The description of Sense's control upgrades both seperately reiterate that the user may not activate the ongoing effect multiple times (pg 305).

- You can't have duplicate activations of the same power
- You can't commit more total force dice than you have force rating
That's under "Commiting Force Dice", pp 281-2
